so this is frustrating. u dont see thread complaining about how u lose ur loot bonus if u lose a clan war, do u?
any threads complaining about how people keep sniping ur th when u dont want it to be?
games are like this. people find a strategy they find good to use and they use it, like hogs in wars, some find it good to use, and some find it too costy.
thats all im saying.

I know you aren't saying this, but I always chuckle at people who complain about somebody stealing their resources that they worked hard for. Um, you stole it from other people and now your'e upset when somebody steals 10% of what you stole. lol

I rather get 500-1000 with 200000 gold/elixer and have healing spells on standby when I need it (since I attack every 25 mins or so)
The problem with zapping is when many people do it to you in a night and still no shield....
i think its alright, as long as the base is difficult and worth the shot.
when you find a strong base with dark elixir in the core, you kind of cringe and think about wasting your army.
but then, whats this? a lightning spell? dont mind if i do!
then you get what you want without diving into that tank of sharks.
but if you face an easy and rich base along with dark elixir, then sending in the army would be a logical solution.
Its a part of the game ,i'do zap DE Storage whenever i barch farming DE
So you can't attack the whole time your spells are cooking? I BArch and raid every 15 minutes while my spells are cooking and still pull in 500-1000 each raid without spells. Zapping someone every 2+ hrs is just icing on the cake.Quote:

I have farmed in 1400-1800 for gold almost 5 months now as a th9. By leaving my town hall outside and protecting my dark elixir more than anything else, I can only recall a handful of times I have been full on raided for someone taking 1000-2000 DE from me (because who is farming with loons or hogs at that level?). I get lightning zapped by lower town halls with lightly upgraded spells about once every two days, taking like 100-200 DE.
This threat of "I'll revenge you" just hasn't been true for me. I zap from 2-4 times a day, and then usually get sniped. If possible, I zap preemie 10s or other th9s that are unlikely to have the power to full on revenge me. I break my shield regularly unless both gold and dark elixir are overflowing. If someone builds a special army to revenge me, they either miss their chance when I get sniped, or it costs too much to be worth the effort.
On the rare occasion someone revenge lightnings me, it is often for LESS than I took because I maxed my storage and my lightning spells for th9.
I'm not saying its the most efficient strategy for all, but with my play style of attack here, attack there every few hours without having lots of nexting time for perfect base, it always keeps at least one hero under the hammer.
But believe me, when people stop sniping my town hall, I might stop using lightning :)
