I just completed a trophy run and has now begin to start farming at lower cup ranges, feels good to revenge zap all the near-max TH10s at Masters and lose little to no trophies.

A very VERY short list of people that have supposedly purely farmed their level 40 heroes.

That leaves the other 99% with level 40 heroes that fit my original statement.

I have all my elixier armys maxed out and only my de troops and heroes need some love, so is generate only Barch+Wallbeaker and 5 Lightning spells and go de hunting ;)

I know many ppl are against using lightnings on ppl's DE storage, but to me, there ain't a rule that says you are not allowed to do so. It's just part of the game. Ppl raid you, you revenge them back. Ppl lightning you, you lightning them back. Simple as that. Nevertheless, this part will be for those who wants to use lightning as part of their farming strategy. For those who don't feel comfortable to do so, may skip to the next part.

If you plan to zap DE Storage or Drills to farm DE, I will suggest to research your lightning to as high as your th allows you to do so. The higher the lvls your lightnings are, the more DE you will be able to steal.

Yes! thats exactly how my friend farmed his DE extremely quickly.

The writer of the DE guide (brandon from SG! gladiators) has one of the highest heroic heist achievement ~ more than 14m.
Upon looking through his guide, I realised my friend most probably incorporated some of the DE farming methods from there. :rolleyes:

This thread is asking for advice regarding zapping on DE. If you want advice on optimum DE raiding go look for the top 50 DE looter thread and PM them, or start your own thread.

ok, you just made me laugh. You might want to go read Brandon's DE raiding strategy that I would say many people are following to get their lvl 40 heroes. Could you please respond and let me know what spells he's using? kk thx

Hey, if you want to get your DE the slow way I have no problems with that at all. I personally prefer to farm my DE as fast and efficient as possible and you obviously don't have anything better to offer on that front.

A couple things on the lightning spells not being efficient for farming DE. If you're only zapping and nothing else, then absolutely it is a very inefficient and slow way to get DE, but to use it in conjunction with an "efficient" army is a nice bonus.

I'm farming my DE with BARCH +4 WB's because it's really cheap and fairly fast to build. I don't use any spells at all with BARCH and exclusively look for bases with their DE 1 or 2 layers deep (1800-2000 range).
Then I boost my SF with 5 lightning spells every 38 minutes and if I see a base with max DE in storage I zap them and move on. It's basically a free 2k of DE every 38 minutes and I still get to immediately attack the next guy.

I don't worry about the cost of elixir because with BARCH I'm always pegged on elixir anyways.

I don't claim this to be the "best" or "fastest" strategy, but I haven't found a faster DE/hr. strategy yet so it's what I'm rolling with. I've dedicated two builders full time to hero upgrades from here out. It's only been a week, but it's been really easy to keep my DE storage way ahead of my hero upgrades so far and I even hit the 100k minion upgrade a few days ago. Next AQ upgrade finishes tonight, BQ is 3 days away and I'm already sitting on 110k of DE.

It's not noob to use lightning, it's just smart strategy to maximize DE per hour. Obviously zapping itself requires no skill, but combining it with efficient farming is smart.
To use inefficient farming strategies with slower build troops obviously has the potential to get more DE per attack, but you get a lot fewer attacks per hour with no zap bonus, so it's inferior IMHO.

Either way, experiment with various strategies and ranges to see what works for you. The cool part about this game is there's no right way to do things, there's only the way that you chose to do them.
