Honestly. The forums have groups, clan boards, and an off topic section. There are plenty of places on the official forums for this sort of thing. You guys should also consider hooking up with some sort of collaboration app like glassboard.

Because while I realize that recruiting for f4g was done on the forums and contains a number of forum members, I also get tired of seeing all of the f4g specific blather here.

Illustris creating a thread to talk about adding a 4th gold storage? Really? Should we all post when we add new buildings now?

I'm just requesting that you guys tone it down a bit or move it to the proper sub forums.

But, Dahimi, my old veteran forum friend, I'll be serious for a moment. The below is a proverbial olive branch and I hope it comes across as such.

I believe we have mutual respect for each other so I'll stop teasing with the "yes's" and "exactly's".

These people on this and the other threads are not my clan members. There are many who tend to post, enjoying each other's company here, while waiting for troops to cook. This thread should have been in Off-Topic, I agree, but my 4th Gold Tank thread was not just a flippant post. And my clans are full, as membership is capped to 47.

Many people have been curious as to why I adhered to a simple box design, long before this nerf, and I had created a strategy poll even about 3 vs 4 gold tanks, etc, etc. And, in finally, caving in, and having now to build that 4th tank, it's an interesting point for some people as to (i) strategy on 3 vs 4, (ii) additional village layouts for mature TH9 players, and (iii) a humorous point for those folks like Junliang, Ping, and others who have been ribbing me about my old box.

So, I disagree. It was not just about "a building". There are many posts that bring this community tighter, and it doesn't have to be "just" strategy, tips, or math, or lately over-analyzing every aspect of this poor little WB. There are also cross-current threads that pervade throughout these folders, and people have a chuckle and feel closer to the forums and to the game. Whether it's Corugi, Tim's legs, etc, etc... this is what I believe makes this community enjoyable, and able to withstand snarky comments and whining trolls.

So, long as the humor is appropriate, non-racist, non-political, non-thunder thigh pics, haha, etc, etc. Also, we all have the ability and maturity, to perhaps, not read every thread and post to every thread, if one's inclination is not there... as you've pointed out rather directly to many others in the past.

But, we can all be friends, and maybe even more... Wink.

If it's a tactics or strategy post it should go into that sub forum. I get humor as well, but a lot of this seems more like inside jokes and an extension of clan chat. It literally feels like watching a couple necking while you're trying to eat in a restaurant.

To some that may be a turn on, but to others it is distracting and in no way dissimilar from lots of other posts that people comment on negatively because they are off topic or stupid. It's basically like all of the exploitation drama, but with a different tone and no more pleasurable to see.

It's great and all that you guys have tons of fun in clan chat, it just gets annoying seeing overflow into so many damn posts. Like this current ridiculousness about legs.

I kinda have to agree with dahimi on this one. F4G is a good clan and I enjoy visiting there occasionally, but by looking at the posts and humour lately I think a lot of it is not necessary. I like posts in good humour but in-jokes that are only accessible to members of one clan or people who have been keeping up with many other threads in detail are a bit over the top. If you are gonna crack lots of jokes often at least make them accessible to the majority of forum members.
I think most people appreciate Illustris' sense of humour, but no one wants to be reading a serious thread and have to scroll through pages of byplay between a few forum regulars. Contributing and intelligent forum regulars, but still just another forum member in the scheme of things. Just my opinion.
