Wall breakers attacking same wall level

I'm sure this has been posted by someone else here, but it needs to be seen and addressed by SC.

The new wall breakers sometimes attack the same freaking level of walls, even if that enclosed structure is already open and there is a still-enclosed structure inside of that. It's extremely frustrating. I understand how the new AI works and have adapted to it for the most part, but this is clearly a bug.

To crudely illustrate, it looks something like this:

= and | represent walls, x represents defense structures or other buildings

Imagine that the top part is the innermost section of the base and that the bottom is the outermost wall. Several times I have blown open the bottom layer with WBs at point "a" (even destroying the defenses within) only to have the next sets of WBs I send in deploy at points "b" rather than going to the send layer of walls. This makes absolutely no sense and does not help an attack in any way, nor is it consistent with how wall breakers, new or old, should function.

Hope that makes sense and that SC will change this AI issue...

I didn't even have to read to understand this issue... I hate it it's very annoying.

SC does know about this, but I don't know if they are fixing it.

I don't understand,but my problem is a wall is already broken,the wbs attack the SAME layer of walls,the walls that are beside the walls that got blown.

Our points, I believe, are one and the same. Assuming you're also saying that the second wave of WBs is attacking the same layer *and* that this isn't opening up any new enclosed spaces, this is my beef, too.

Have a look at the screen from Tim. What you can do to control this behaviour is clear the buildings in the first compartment. The WBs are targeting the buildings in the corners because they see them as protected and blow up the wall the think will free it. Alternatively you could open the corners, then launch WBs in the original spot, depends on how many WBs you are comfortable spending.

That is a work around for the issue for sure. but I think it still stands that logically the behavior of the wall breaker in these scenarios is not correct. What they are doing is akin to the behavior they displayed with spikes. Sure I can clear out every building but during that time the xbow is going to decimate my troops.

edit: I ended up raging troops to burrow through the wall since speed is key against that kind of base

doesn't work always..... they even blow open empty compartments... it's so annoying

another work around is to send them a little quicker...if u put down the second bunch just before the first have exploded they are more likely to target the second wall. The other problem i'm having is they seem to target walls further away from the one I'm trying to break. Some tweaking is in order please SuperCell

I've actually tried this, too, and unfortunately it doesn't seem to work. At least not consistently.

This is a concise and salient point. Illustrates my frustration perfectly.

Just as with spiking, it seems possible to figure out and take advantage of the AI issue occurring here. Wouldn't really be the mark of a creative, effective design so much as a cheap exploitation. Bummer...

Yeah, I'm having trouble with wb too... today during my attack, the wb just stopped about the space or 2 tiles away from the wall and just held there until my decoy giants were destroyed when of course they were immediately destroyed... they have been highly unreliable and their actions have become a real guess as to what they're going to do... this all seem to happen after the last update... a real disappointment.

Nothing about the wb seems to work consistently... I thin SC just screwed this up and unfortunately may find it easier to let it ride then fix it... all depending on how they tied the code into their actions... tonight it really screwed up one of my attacks.
