Heaps of members joining, possible game issue?

Hi everyone.

I've been leader of my clan (Australia Utd) for around 8 months now. It's been building slowly and people have been joining at a rate of about 1-2 per month. I like it this way because it means they usually stay around for a while.

In the past 24 hours I have had no less than 35 members join. I did not invite them and neither did anyone in my clan. My minimum trophy count has actually increased as well.

Has anyone else experienced a mass influx of players? I am worried it may be a glitch in the game.

Not sure if this is a genuine thread...

There is no way that this can be a bug in the code. Players are clicking Join. The game isn't just assigning them.

you're showing up on a cached clans to join list. Or someone is marketing that name and you happen to have the same clan name.

Maybe one of your members got drunk and went nuts in global?

I am a 100% genuine user, and have posted only to promote my clan in the past.

Its rare to have one or two new users in a day. But 35+ in 24 hours is absolutely insane and so bizare I thought it might be a bug.

The other thing that makes me think it's a bug is that players come and leave immediately. Yes, I know this sometimes players leave shortly after joining, but the majority of our newbies have left within seconds, almost like it's automatic.

vDrag0n: Sorry if it's a silly question, but what would it matter if my clan is on a cached servers list?

The easy solution would be to ask the new applicants how they found out about your clan

I would, but like I said, they are leaving within seconds of joining, meaning I cannot ask the majority of them

So put it on 'invite only'. Otherwise you will have to live with these 'problems'.

^^^^ I believe this is the most likely correct answer, you probably have between 40-49 members and you are one of the clans that appear when people without clans tap the find clan button on the clan castle.
