We rarely get air attacks on the clans we face in cw so its not an issue. I have a witch and a valk in my cc. They work well on my defence. So long as you don't fill the whole cc with em.
Thats about all valks are good for atm, cc troops...

Isn't it time for a new dark troop already...........geez
As a warrior user in boom beach, that is a great idea. I am surprised they haven't come out with a valk level 5 yet. A level 5 valk is long over do.
my valks are level 2. They will be the last thing I upgrade, which I am close to getting to now, they are my next upgrade once the pekaa finishes cooking.
I think training times are a problem for almost all troops. They shouldn't be so long as to deter us from trying different troop compositions randomly for fun.
I know I'd try more wizard, dragon, or Pekka attacks if it didn't take so long to build them.
I personally use Giant+Healer, so I have a decent build time due to my 2 healers, but it would be nice if we could try different compositions without having to wait an hour to build up an attack.
My healers actually don't bother me that much because prior to my attack I queue them up and by the time I'm done nexting for 10 minutes and attacking for nearly 3 minutes with my current army they're both finished so my wait time isn't bad at all.
But, if you were to use say 8 wizards, 6 dragons or a couple pekkas, that doesn't work as well since you're having to wait for multiple long cooking troops to finish when you could be attacking with an army that will do the same thing with less cost and time.
I don't think having shorter build times would affect much in the grand scheme of things. Sure you'll have more people attacking with stronger troops more often, but I don't think it would change all that much.
When someone attacks me, it's because they're almost certain they'll beat me (or at least get all my available loot). Granted, I'm only an early TH9, so I don't know how this would affect endgame play, but when farming it would just make things a little more exciting to be able to switch up troop comps and not be stuck with lower tier troops just because we don't want to wait forever to attack.
It's not only boring for myself when I have to use the same troop composition because of time constraints, but it's boring to see the same troops attacking my base as well. I'd love to see some Pekkas or Dragons demolishing my base, but it's the same old BARCH/Giant+Healer and lately sometimes full hog attacks.
You'd think they'd want people to use more diverse attack strategies/troop compositions, but right now the way things are set up you almost always see the same BARCH BAM or Giant+healer. I see Giant+Healer probably 80% of the time when I'm attacked. So it's even more boring to use Giant+healer and be constantly attacked by the same troop comp.
I can't imagine they'd ever reduce cook times, but I think it would be great for the game and allow people to use more diverse compositions. Increasing the game's fun can't be a bad thing as long as it doesn't throw it off balance.
I dont get the Valk hate. Any time I use them they go in a and reak havoc on everything and absorb so many blows. Its basically wolverine without the healing factor. Wizards die to quick against to many things especially archer towers. Valks be in there berserker barrage'N the place. I drop down some giants, barbs, and archers and one Valk and then I forget about them and a bit later i come back and am amazed that the Valk is still alive lol.
I never thought of trying this untill now but when luring the clan castle out a lot of the times those troops are bunched up. If I drop a valk in there I wonder How man of the CC troops it would take out. i usually Use a huge variety of troops when attacking so maybe thats why Valks always good for me.
Also valks are good in the clan castle on defense as well. I wonder how a Valk/Dragon combo would work now that there is a higher level CC.
I don't even use dark troops, so I wouldn't be concerned too much. Are you a die-hard fan of those women with axes? No? Then don't sweat it, normal elixir troops are plenty powerful as well.
So many haters to them. I dont get it, they are actually really good troops!
Agree 100%
The troop itself is decent, the cost and time to train however does not justify cooking Valks over other dark troops.
The game is, for most about doing as much as you can as efficiently as you can. Valks fail at efficiency vs other troops for time & cost. Far too much for a troop who can die on a spring.
