Build times should GO AWAY! We take TIME to get the gems/elixir/gold for the upgrade. Please reward our efforts with INSTANT UPGRADES...Builders will still be needed. Treat it like the wall upgrades...or (to tick people off) make builder times on wall upgrades...WHICH YOU WONT DO, SO HELP US OUT...7 days to train a dragon? I saw a team of Vikings do this on Tv in 2 hours! "How to train your dragon"...look into it. (Kidding)

Seriously, please consider instant upgrades, people will attack more, upgrade more and give you reasons to increase other things! Yay!

I'm not asking you to lower spell making or troop creation or training...(The dragon thing was a joke)...but buildings? C'mon!

BUt then how does supercell make a profit? Supercell has to make money to run the game. Sorry guy. This isnt going to change supercells mind on this subject.

Using builders and timing and staggering the upgrades is all part of strategy. If you want to get instant upgrades go play games like Kingdom at War or other games like it.

I expected a response like this from a 10 year old with fewer number of posts than their age, but not from someone with 308 posts........... unless you're older than 308 years old :eek:

I love constructive criticism...so why don't you go and construct some. Thanksbyehaveaniceday...and yes...I am old.

Or how about for an reward, each month or every 5 clan wars, everyone gets a free chance to instant upgrade a building or troop upgrade. Got to have some balance in here..

Help me understand the strategy of which you speak. You can't get away with a flitting comment like this. Help me understand how a wall with electricity or fire can be instantly made, but not a wizard tower...or a canon or mortar.

I would be all over that. Win a war, each member of your team gets an instant upgrade.

I would take that over the loot.

Even make it so that the LOWEST level building gets the auto upgrade.

Kinda like a buy one get one free. You pay for the expensive item and the thing with the equal or lesser value gets the freebie.

I have got to say, i agree, if you win 5 clan wars in a row, you should get an instant upgrade, but of course you will have to spend the resources on the upgrade, just the time would be instant.

ok I'll bite.

There are tons of reasons why instantaneous building upgrades are a bad idea, but I'll stick to a few glaringly obvious ones:

1) This game is meant to be a marathon, not a sprint. That is part of the strategy. The fact that it takes longer and longer to build up your base makes it more and more important to choose your upgrades wisely. Hence, a 'strategy' game.

2) It's more profitable for Supercell this way. If you can upgrade everything instantly, you can max out TH10 in a couple months of hardcore farming. Then you'll get sick of the game and stop playing. Supercell makes much more money off of long-term customers as opposed to "hardcore for two months" customers.

3) Walls are probably instant upgrades because Supercell wants to throw us a bone. With all the long build times and the high cost and quantity of walls, the least they can do is make it instantly upgrade. Again, it's a nice strategic aspect of the game.
