Not Counting the troops donated during clan war must be a bug. I hope it gets fixed
Definitely I agree.
Pls add this too update. The clan war donations should count. Not really sure why it doesn't. It's a donation and just as, if not more important than regular donations.
You know what's funny? If you look at the post counts of the people who like suggestions and then you look at the post counts of people who don't like most suggestions ;)
anyway, like KL597 said, it's designed this way. Here are some reasons why:
1) If the game gives you XP for donating troops, then everyone (including low level players) will want to donate troops for the experience.
2) You are probably thinking "oh but with the new update, people can just drop low level troops and request new ones!". Great. But if you have 50 clan members all wanting to donate their troops, and more than half of your clan has low level troops, you will be dropping troops from your war base over and over and over, all throughout prep day. What an annoyance.
3) Before today's update, there was no option to drop unwanted war base troops. So imagine how much more upset people would be getting lvl 1 giants donated to their war bases. By not counting or giving XP to war base donations, you do not encourage lowbies to donate their troops, which is what all clans want anyways. Doesn't matter if you're level 30 or level 300, you still want lvl6 wizards to be donated to you instead of lvl 1.
4) Since there is no incentive to donate troops to war bases, you are ONCE AGAIN more likely to get donations from the higher lvl players in your clan who have maxed out troops, which will be the best troops to help defend your base and help your clan win the clan war. This is because the high level people probably already finished their "friend in need" achievement and don't care if they don't get XP for donating troops. Also, they probably have a ton of extra elixir because at the end of TH9 and TH10, you usually have an excess amount of elixir anyways.
5) this suggestion is one of the most popularly suggested in this forum. Please do a search and read the stickies before posting repeat ideas, thanks.
I will not put this much effort into explaining why certain ideas should not be implemented into the game, but this happens to be a particularly slow Friday morning :D happy Friday everyone.
