Yeah, not even saying Good Guy was saying that, I just hear it a lot and it prevented me from trying my hand up there for a while because quite frankly the thought of tapping away at my phone every three minutes waiting for things to cook sounded terrible.Quote:

Th9 will do fine in Crystal. But in masters, the chances of a th9 getting hit hard is much higher. That said, it is still very possible for a th9 to farm great DE. However, the targets will be th9 and 10 most of the time. So why not do it at th10 where the loot penalty barely applies?Quote:

I just switched from TH9 to TH10. The loot drop had more of an impact than I was expecting. I waited until almost all of my defenses were maxed out though, so I had to switch or I would have had idle builders. I enjoy the fact that nobody really hits me now with Inferno's and the third X-Box. I have farmed and held a ton of DE, and was even able to get into Master's league for the first time this morning.
I would say if you have defenses left at TH9 I would do them before jumping to TH10. But if all you have left is upgrading walls and heros, I personally wouldn't want to stay at TH9 any longer like I have seen many do, simply because it's not as fun (but it is without question more profitable). The key is that TH8's are a sweet spot to hit, they can hold a lot of resources but don't have top tier defense structures. At TH9 you can exploit this, at TH10 you can but they have to have their storages almost maxed.
One final point, farming elixir, regular elixir, seems to be the hardest thing to do for me now at TH10. The bases I have to hit to give me nice resources no longer fall to Barcher and ever since clan wars came out I never see full collector bases. So I would give priority to getting the lvl6 troops you want, dark drills, and anything else that uses elixir before jumping to TH10.
Oh for sure, I'm honestly just testing the waters up there as a TH 9, if anything my experience has taught me how much easier it will be than I thought. If I can go an hour as a TH 9 in masters (got 14 trophies away from master 2 before flubbing two attacks) without getting attacked imagine how much better it will be with a third xbow and two infernos. The gold hasn't been half bad either, I did a few walls and up until a week ago I was able to keep builders busy despite the fact that when I do get attacked I usually get wrecked.Quote:

I think I'm still going to max walls at TH 9, but more for "that feel" than any practical reason. Glad to see you are still doing well on the gold farming, I showed someone your "TH 10 farming is so frustrating" post and they said you must be on a really lucky streak.Quote:

I guess im bassackwards. I moved up and farmed de as soon as my xbows and level 6 loons finished. I then used those heroes to easily farm gold. Made gold farming a joke.
