If you plan on playing this game for a while longer, I'd say max TH9 100%
Curious about the DE caveat, isn't it just as easy if not easier to get DE at Town Hall 10? So for example if someone has maxed walls and defenses but has level 15 heroes would you still recommend they stay at TH 9?Quote:

If you eventually want your base entirely maxed... I recommend getting all of your walls to level 10 at TH9. The loot difference is definitely noticeable and worthwhile to stay at TH9 for gold. Keep in mind though while farming for walls that every hero upgrade takes 7 days after you hit like lvl 15... so if your heroes are lvl 15 now, you have at least 105 days left before you can have lvl 30 heroes.
BUT!... It's just as easy if not easier to max your heroes at TH10... the extra drill, more troops because of camps, more troops b/c of castle, stronger troops because you can max things out (like gobs, wizzies, etc..), and most noticeably I lose alot less DE than I used to now that I have infernos. I also very rarely get zapped.
So, in closing, If you want your base to be fully maxed at some point, I think it's smarter/faster to stay at TH9 and keep your heroes constantly upgrading while going through the wall grind. If you miss a hero upgrade don't worry about it since Gold should be your main focus.

Anyways, walls aren't the problem here. It can be maxed in months. The problem are heroes.. it'll take more than a year to max them , given that you're able to farm up to 200k DE a week of course. If not, two years or more would be more likely. Actually, the truth is that most people won't ever be able to farm maxed heroes.
If you do attempt to fully max everything, I suggest not to stay at th9 after you've maxed all defenses. Gaining DE and actually keep it (very important! People tend to ignore this) is much much easier at th10. You'll want to farm DE at Crystal or masters (even as th9). The difference here is that a th9 with juicy storages will get his ♥♥♥ whipped once he logs off. A well developed TH10 on the other hand, barely gets attacked.
I keep hearing the "once you log off you will get crushed" thing but my alt is a mid TH 9 in masters and I usually go an hour or so without getting attacked even with max available in storages.Quote:

The argument that loot is worse at TH10 should only apply, if the OP is farming TH8 bases with his Th9 base. If he doesn't, it's not gonna be a problem.
