Best way to stockpile elixir?

Focus on troops FIRST because with better troops and more army space, you have a stronger army allowing you to not only do better against the bases that you attack, but allows you to attack harder bases. Upgrade troops in the order that you use them the most and it is your personal opinion.

Drop trophys and upgrade your wall breakers.

Don't make dragons, ever...they are too expensive if you are trying to build up elixir.

I would cut back to 2-4 giants, then once you get the hang of farming with so few giants, get rid of them completely, and use barb, archer, goblin to farm.

Also, segment your storages inside your base so you don't lose too much when you get attacked

(optional) have all your collectors upgraded, it helps a ton to get an extra 240k of each resource while you sleep.

the best way to farm elixir is to use quick cheap troops. archers, goblins and barbs. a decent mixture of these can get easy loots even at th8 and it's the fastest way to gain elixir as you aren't spending much on troops. the idea is to farm only for elixir, focus on that. people protect gold more so it's not a huge issue. choose targets carefully and always top up your barracks so you can do continuous raids.

oh i just noticed your trophy level... drop to 1200 for easier raids.

You can use gobs:p

You have level 2 lightning spell and level one in the others, level 2 wizards, level 3 wallbreakers, level 1 balloons and level 1 dragons. I don't think you even need to stockpile.

Good for you not to waste your time and elixir upgrading the balloons. They are horrible. I have a TH lv 8 and a base similar to yours, it sounds like. I recommend upgrading your mortars to lv 5 so you can kill lv 5 archers in one shot. Also I would upgrade the lightning spell to level three, if you drop two on a level 6 mortar it completely destroys it. I also fight with level 4 WBs, they help greatly in battle. What is your clan's name, I'll check out your place. Having a clear picture of your base will help me make better recommendations.

I respectfully disagree. Goblins die quickly. My guess is he wants to protect and store as much elixir as possible but tread water (at the very least) with his trophies simultaneously. Goblins attack mainly storages. I don't think they should be used exclusively, if at all. I would recommend maybe 50 depending on the size of your army.
