Need advice on recruiting

I need advice on recruiting and keeping members. I started a clan because I was sick of seeing troop, level or trophy requirements. I have a clan that anyone can join regardless of experience but can't get it to grow. I had started a reqruitement thread here in the forums and I try to recruit in global regularly but nothing seems to help. When I am on global chat, I don't post the regular annoying "join me" like I see others do. Any help or advice would be welcome. Thank you in advance.
