Pick off storages. DE is plentiful up in 1600+ dont see why you wont go up there if you want to DE farm.... You wont see much DE, let alone easily accessible storages below gold 2
Go above 1600 otherwise it'll be a slow grind.Quote:

yeah. the higher you go themore de you get man. below 1600 it will be a slow grind. even those 700+ raids will be somewhat rare. in gold 1 / crystal 3 wich isnt all that high up you can use balloonion and get 1500 or so DE every attack. without all that much nexting.
You get a lot of full de storages easy to get at 2800+. At gold two people protect their empty de storagesQuote:

My alt account is currrently farming DE around 2200 with level 5 barbs and archers (1 barrack on barbs, 3 on archers), using gold for walls... it takes a lot of hitting next, but it's fast and easy and makes plenty of DE.
I'm not scared of moving up in trophy range it's just that I mostly play on weekends so I lose about 150-200 trophies.
The 1600-1700 range isn't bad. Not many bases are over 1,000 but most are over 500.
A good amount of bases between 1600-1700 offer some good DE between the 1-2K range. Not as much DE as you would see offered in Crystal but for a nice mix of easy loot and a touch of DE, Gold League is perfect for me.
I could always find a ton of dark elixir in gold I/crystal III (right around 1900 trophies). I'd usually have to attack up a town hall level or two (I'm TH8) but it's easy to get 1000+ DE each attack if you look for bases with poorly defended DE storage. Barch in there and take the storage and pick of the drills if they have any good amount in them.
