i still have a lv1 dark barrack and i use minions all the time. im not thinking on upgrading mine to level 2 yet because my dark elixir is decreasing and i wont be able to afford hog riders, lol. i used to steal DE with lightning but i stopped because i was losing too many trophies.

I Gemmed an army of lvl 1 hogs when the update went live. Honestly not worth it, which you will soon see :)
