Well as clash of clans gets better, I think we need something to change up the troops and it isn't a new troop. Currently the way you make your troops better is by upgrading them, which go's by a basic level system, would if know we could specialize our troops. So starting after you got lvl 3 troops so when you are getting lvl 4 troops, you can have the option of picking what you want to have your troop specialize in, let's use barbarians as our example.
Barbarians Normal Upgrade to lvl 4
Research cost 500,000
Hitpoints 78
Damage 18
Cost 80
Now let's use a made up name, (one that i just made up on the fly to show what it would be like)
Barbarian Raiders uprade to lvl 4 barbs
Research cost 1,000,000
Hitpoints 70
Damage 22 (x 2 against resoruces)
Cost 100
Special Ability: Takes 50 percent less damage from archer towers
So what would happen is that when you are uprading your troop to lets say lvl4 you can do a normal uprade or with the specialized troop. Now once the uprade it done u will get lvl 4 troops and the specialized version. Now when you create these troops you can either create the specialized version or normal, what would happen is that thier will be a button in your barracks that has a check or x mark in the square of the troop u want to make if its a check then specialized version shall be made if its x mark then normal version. All these would add a new dimension to the game instead of people want more troops while just let the current troops be changed. These changes shall be balanced ones to make sure the troops don't become to powerful. My example with barbarian was one I made on the fly and the name so if it looks to much like a goblin which it kind of does I just made it up fast, to have something to show as an example.
Another feature is that they will look different from actually troop and you can have the normal version and specialized version in same army because you can change from normal to specialized version you can change the troop based on what you want your army to be so if you are making a farming army then you can change the troop to make a troop more better for farming or etc. This could help a lot because it would not make Supercell have to add so many new troops but just change or give the players the chance to change their current ones.
