I believe that in the next few updates there should be an option to make troops in editing mode(For Free) were you can attack your own base so you can see how well it would hold up against a real attack! I think that this will have people more interested in playing because they won't be losing as often if they find a layout that works for them!

In the top right, click on 'advanced search'
Then for the search criteria, type "sandbox".
From the dropdown beside the search criteria, select "Seearch Titles Only".
You will see how many times this suggestion has been suggested already.

I like the concept of it. You can test your base's strength and where can it hold on to. Wish SC would implement this in the new update.
Its a good concept but might be a bit OP as then it would be horrific to try and a attack a base that's been trialed
Here is what supercell doesn't like about this idea:
1) you can recreate a base of someone who attacked you, practice defeating it, then click revenge and have an unfair advantage to successfully defeat them (you would have to guess where traps/teslas are, but they may be obvious)
2) you can recreate a clan war base of your opposing clan that you want to attack. Then once again, practice attacking it, before actually attacking the same layout in the actual clan war. Again, it's a bit of guessing for traps and teslas, but it is still somewhat of an unwanted offensive advantage.
There are likely more reasons why Supercell wouldn't want to implement this. Maybe they want to force you to watch your replays of players raiding you in order to improve your base. Maybe they want to make it harder for you to learn your weaknesses to add to the complexity of the game.
