I just be inefficient and take longer to train my troops. I just finished upgrading my 3 non-maxed barracks to healer level today!
I hate upgrading barracks, i have one max and 3 lvl 9 which i did while th was upgrading to 9, i wont upgrade them again until my th is upgrading to 10
Just one at a time i barch so its not to bad, hardly use de barracks..i farm lol
I changed from a Giant-Healer army to a Barch army so I almost did not notice the extra time during army preparation.
It's a pain, but nothing to do about it. I maxed all of mine just to spend all the extra elixir on something.
I like to use the Dark Barracks and use BAM. However, I also created a strategy specifically for when I'm upgrading my barracks, which is a Giant, Barb, Archer, Wall Breaker combo that leaves only 5 space not filled.
Do one at a time.
Just one of the pains of the game, so worth it though!
never waste a vacation opportunity. Any vacation you take, barracks should be upgrading.
I hate having to use weak troops when i'm upgrading my highest-level barracks.
Just don't attack and use the sheilds that u get from being attacked
its not fun at all, but its worth it, that extra space and higher troops does lotta good for you. it gives u more time to do real life stuff though, which is nice. I had 2 barracks upgrading once, it was deadly. but now, my barracks are lvl 10 and dark barracks are lvl 4. only DE troops I use are 2 minions in my main army, so if I don't quit, then when I upgrade my dark barracks to lvl 5, it wont be bad.
If I have gems, I will boost them. If not, it doesn't make much of a difference because I barch. Still a pain though.
At th7 I upgraded 1 barrack to lvl9 and then 3 together to lvl9... those were horrible times :) ... so at th8 I did the same but when I was on a weeks vacation after getting my walls maxed :)
just to keep it painless I always max my barracks before a th upgrade ... it helps at saving time at higher th.

Boosting the other barracks still gave me a twice as fast troop cooking time than with all barracks at normal speed.
Once I max my dark barracks out, I will do all my normal barracks at once!

still have time to make a good Barch/BAG/BAM farming combo. if you over lap the build times then there are only a couple days in between when the pain is worst. 2a is less painful at TH8 when you get two Dark Rax. 2b = learn to Barch time:p
3-to-4 Rax at a time.. = you will be away from the game for a week or so, give or take a day or two..
Ultimate pain! LOL!!! (ive had three down when my alt was maxing Rax. but I could just raid the main and was fine otherwise, hehe.) welcome to donation-ville; at least you can try and get your 'friend in need' up..
Lucky you. Good decision to upgrade then too. Like others, I use BARCH mostly, so it's not a big deal. If I get too impatient, I will boost one of my barracks and maybe throw in a few minions too.Quote:
