When to use healers and spells

When do you use the healers? When do you use the spells?

I am just about finished upgrading to TH7. I recently got my healers up and running but cant seem to get the hang of using them. I know placement is key, and would love a few image examples of where those little angels should be placed for effective use.

I know for resource farming spells just waste elixir. Spells are best for what? CW and trophy pushing basically right? I like to keep spells in my arsenal for just in case during farming.

Healers cost 5k, a healing spell costs 18k... Obviously the healer is the better item for augmenting the army. right?

IMO, Spells > Healers

- they don't take up 14 troop spots
- they can heal flying troops
- they can not be guided off course
- nothing can prevent them from doing their job

I really doubt a th7 would be attacking th10's? inferno towers bases should NOT be attacked with giant/healers.

also if you are worried about elixir consumption, I don't recommend using giant/healer, instead BAM or BARCH.

limited range, perhaps but it can heal barbs, giants archers, everything, inside the spell, and are ALOT more reliable.

Healers can't heal against infernos also, and healing spells can't be shot down by air defenses

Healing spells don't have AI to get messed up. Nuff' said.

Seems like my healer always finds the seeking air mine as soon as I drop her, with spells I only have to worry about my fat fingers dropping more than one accidentally.

I say experiment with both and see which u prefer and works best for your needs. because you can see that there are good and bad things for both. If you are farming elixir just make sure it is a big enough loot to be worth spending the amount for the spells. But this goes for any troops or spells. When you are farming it wont do you any good to spend more than what you are farming. You just have to find the right person to attack with a big enough loot and easy enough to get to and use the least amount of troops and resources to get.

So I have tried raiding a few(like 6?) times with healer/giant combo.... I think I am doing something wrong because my healers die soooo fast. And they dont seem to save my giants from much damage either.

I see people attack me with the same exact combo's, same exact lvl troops/healers and they do great. But my attacks just fail. These are similiar lvl players too folks....

I TRY to hit the AD first, I TRY to place my healer far enough out to heal without attracting tower attack, I TRY to focus all the giants together so they work as one unit....

But I still FAIL.
