I'm a Town Hall 8 almost maxed just have Tesla's, AD's and half my AT's. I'm moving up to TH9 with about 7000 gems so what should I gem? Aside from Archer Queen

First max your th 8 base. It is worth it i promise. I don't know what you should gem. Maybe the lab and an xbow or something.
It honestly depends on your trophy range to max or not. For th8, if you are at 1600+, th9 should be good.Quote:

I find gemming resources as a waste. Instead of spending a lot of gems on one particular resource, you can use a few gems to boost barracks and make a bunch of resources of each type. That's what I've been doing, and I've been able to upgrade my archer queen and barb king non stop for the past month (when my th9 completed).Quote:

Max your base, and then do not spend gems on resources. You want to build the lab and the new buildings first, but no need to gem the lab, as you can gem it a bit later in the upgrade if you have enough to upgrade a troop. Yeah, just boost stuff and gem times when you need to. Try and conserve them.
