I believe the Valkyrie is actually quite a good unit, but your first point it the biggest hazard in the way.
15 minutes is just too long, especially when you have just two dark barracks. Why cook Valks when you can cook loons or wiz for 8 minutes spread over four regular barracks?
Or why spend 15 minutes cooking a Valk when a Hog takes just 2 minutes?
I really beleive if the train time was halved [ish] that would make the biggest difference of all.

Yeah, they are awesome troops but too expensive and takes too long to train. My clan also don't like the cost and they cannot attack flying so they prefer wizards.
I agree completely I use gowipe but instead of wiz i use valkeries there to slow in attacking using a little rage spell they'll go a bit faster but this idea you have is so great and I would think it would not become over powered at all hogs are to fast and jump walls physical stronger valkeries go for any target so it wouldn't become over powered when she tries to slice through walls I would love to rate your forum 5 stars if it had it

These upgrades should be done to the Valkyrie.
And also make her Larger. It is very difficult to distinguish her among archers
