Im going to finish them before I upgrade. Loot only gets worse as you go up so i say why not?
Right now i am a maxed town hall 8… except for walls. I have decided to upgrade at least half my walls from level 7 to level 8 before starting the upgrade on my town hall. Keep in mind that my builders are not doing anything right now, so i am trying to do this quick so i don't waste too much time.
I'm doing it and I think it's worth it.
just push to masters and dump gold in walls
I've been at TH8 for 4 days now and have already started (have 11 already!). I do a ton of farming and the gold is just sitting around because all my builders are busy so yeah, why not. Plus they look cool!
It doesn't worth at all ! Leave them at level 7 and move forward to lev9.
Its really worth it to max Stuffs before upgrading th , as said earlier loot is getting harder and harder
If u want hard core lava walls, max them out at th8. If not, purps should be fine.
My TH8 is nearly maxed. I'm finishing up the big long ones...the AD and Tesla's. So I keep one builder around simply for walls since 8, 10, 12 day stretches are LONG times of doing nothing.
I'm at 106 skull walls now. Only 119 left to go. -.-
I've been debating this as well. I should be fully maxed other than walls in a couple of weeks, and while getting the walls up to TH8 will likely mean having builders idle. I have some DE troop upgrades that still need doing in the lab so I'll have something else to focus on as well, but it's going to be weird having the builders just sitting around for a bit if I do it. I think it'll be worth it in the long run though if I can somehow summon the patience (not my strong suit!).
Let us know what you decide and if you find a strategy that makes the lvl 8 wall upgrades go faster if you go that route...
I think, in general, it's better to max as much as possible before upgrading your TH but I understand why people may skip fully upgrading walls because of the sheer investment of time and effort it takes to max them.
However, if you don't max walls at ur current TH, your even less likely to do so at ur next TH and so on and you may begin to lag behind making you an easier target for your peers (THs at or near your level).

If your BK is maxed for th8, no need to waste DE and Elixir - you can grind at th9 while also upgrading BK and AQ.
If you don't care about wall look, move on - they almost never factor into my clan war attacks as the mass hoggies, loons, or dragons ignore them. And they don't factor into my farming base much either. I've just been doing them because I love the grind :)
you've got plenty of time to be in th8 and im sure you'll do some lvl 8 walls. right now, 500k seems a lot so i decided to go to th9 already. ill just finish doing lvl 8 walls in my core and im good to go. up to you bro if you want to max them before going up. im just excited for the xbow's hehehe :rolleyes:

I'm also a th8 working on upgrades. I personally will be maxing everything that I can at th8 before i go to th9. I have 4 builders and use 3 to upgrade my defenses and the other 1 to upgrade walls. I currently have about 15 L8 walls. Since the upgrade times are getting longer i do walls while my other 3 builders are busy.
