I play CoC on an iPad. I often use the timer on the iPad to alert me when my shield is about to run out or when the next builder is going to be free. I set the iPad timer to delay the time in minutes so I know there should be an error of up to a minute but when the timer is set for a long delay the timer often chimes 10 minutes before the event in CoC actually occurs. I have seen this many times. The Coc timer is is slow.

If you were to start a builder going for 6 hours, log off and not open the app he would finish on time.
Every time you open the app / go raiding / visiting other villages etc then this adds tiny amounts of time to the build. Maybe he slacks off when he knows you're busy.
I finished my last TH10 upgrade last week and now have 5 sleepy builders. I'm expecting Supercell to fix this issue next week just to rub it in my face :D

It does get annoying. I once made a witch and logged in every 4-5 minutes to check stuff (donate, retrain) and it was off by about 1m30s to 2m00s. I knew thise cause the witch was supposed to originally be done 15 sec after at started but eventually came 2 min after. And it is obviously worse with log upgrades.
And and supercell doesn't fix it even though they know about it because it benefits them.(idk if its intentional sice it seems it doesn't affect shields. )
There is no reason why the time should be off like that. I am a programmer and know that this time lag is either intentional or it is done by high school students.
SuperCell should send out a 32 bit time in seconds. That is more than long enough for the longest build. When a build starts the local device should save the current time away and then in the future compare the current time downloaded from SC with the time of the build start + the build duration. There is no possibility of time 'slowing down'.
My Android phone says I have. My iPad says it hasn't. When I got the message on my Android phone the level 2 dark barracks was complete my iPad said there was still 42 minutes to go. Losing 42 minutes over 5 days is lame.
