I agree with OP in the case of xbows interfering with WTs and mortors is a problem. $hit sucks.
But sometimes you just have to adapt and overcome buddy.
You won't get a dime back for it.

supercell refuse to fix the misfire issue, i've tried countless times to report it in the bug section only to have supersteve close the thread and link me to some other thread with people complaining about it. the only way around it is to position your xbows away from mortars and wiz towers. i prefer to have the xbows centered and the other stuff on the outer layers.
You aren't going to get a refund, it's YOUR fault that you gemmed it.
it has to do with firing rates. you don't notice it with canons because they shoot quite rapidly. mortars and wiz towers have slow firing rates. if the target they are firing upon dies from some other defensive unit, it misfires and doesn't fire anything. it would happen with the cannons too but it shoots so much quicker it's not noticeable. xbows are a main culprit because they kill units so quickly so placing an xbow next to a wiz tower can render a wiz tower useless while hordes of goblins are right in front of it because every target it acquires is killed by the xbow before it can shoot.
Actually its logical that xbows get in the way of mortars/WTs.
Mortars and WTs need loading time while xbows target troops in a flash.
While Mortars and WTs lock on, the xbow has already killed the troop off. And this repeated process will freeze them.
Its a matter of understanding characteristics of the tools you have and using them properly.
haha, ♥♥♥, dude, I'm not drinking and I find this clip hilarious.
@OP, hang in there. I have had two X-bows since they were introduced... And you just have to fiddle with your base until they don't conflict with your other defenses. The conflict between defensive buildings and the coordination amongst them are, in my humble opinion, the most important aspect of defense... much more so than "just" walls, which I find too many people obsess over rather simplistically.
Obviously, they all work in tandem, walls included, but ... there is a known x-bow (and tesla for that matter) rapid fire conflict vs. wiz tower. I tend to view as the wizard drank too much and is dry heaving at the toilet. It's been known for months, frankly. A little fiddling and you'll be fine.
Good luck,
