Hogs are the way to go it seems...
Unless you are facing mid level th10s/high level th9s with anti hog base designs.
I'm at town hall lv 8 I have a lv 1 dark barracks and a lv 9 barracks giants lv 4 barbs lv 4 wall breakers lv 3 nearly lv 4
In Clan Wars you have to work together to win. It isn't just you it's your whole clan. Anyways hogs are the way to go;)
I'm still prefer mass dragons (level 2 or 3) up to and including TH8.
I use 3 lightnings on 1 AD, if I can use my BK to take out another one = bonus. If my BK can't reach one of the remaining AD's I use him to clear some buildings so my dragons have a quicker path to them. Then I drop all 10 dragons + CC dragon near the remaining 1 or 2 AD's and just sit back and enjoy the view. Unless the TH8 is maxed a 2-star is usually guaranteed, but most of the time I usually 3-star them.

my god i know. the lower end guy's in our clan constantly need to be told to pull the cc troops. and then only half heartedly do it. id pull my hair out if i didnt shave my head.
as far as people complaining about elixer cost. never understood it. it's not like it's hard to come by.
