What should I use for a mass dragon attack? 3 Lightning Spells or 3 Rage Spells?
I use 2 rage and a heal and normally get 3 stars. My drags are level 3 though it all depends on personal preference

And also, if the AD is a little inside the base. Don't deploy all the dragons at once clear some path first.

I use 3 lightning to take out deepest AD in base and if adjacent to WT take that out too with the three lightnings. If lucky I lure the CC troops over that drop point to get them all but with drags CC isn't incredibly important (unless 25 archers LOL or mass wiz that splash your clump of drags so I always lure myself, personal preference).
Then remove outside structures and aim your drags at the AD closest to the perimeter of base. That way there are 2 seeking air mines that take down 2 drags and one AD left along with teslas, ATs, WTs but they don't do a ton of damage.
I typically use 10 barbs (to rage with BK and lure), 10 archers, 10 minions and 8 drags but change it a little depending on opponent base.
BTW I am new TH 8 with only lv 2 drags but just started the upgrade to 3. :)
I usually use 20 Archers, the rest Dragons, Dragon in Clan Castle, 1 Lightning Spell and 2 Rage Spells.
Spread out the Archers (and maybe heroes) to take out "dummy" buildings then drop the Dragons (including Clan Castle). Rage the Dragons and use the spells in the area where they're going to go. Also Rage large concentrations of Dragons if possible. When the Clan Castle troops come out, drop the Lightning Spell on them.

I'm in TH8 and I use mass dragons often, in both regular raids and in clan wars.
10 lvl3 dragons with 3 rage spells or 2 rage & 1 heal spell is a recipe for a minimum 2 star victory in clan wars.
10 lvl2 dragons have a tough time getting a 3 star if the base is hard. I remember there was a time where I got 1 star (>50%) in clan wars because I couldn't destroy the TH in the center of the base. Note that I usually go for opponents at my level in clan wars, I don't pick on TH7 bases, leave them for my lower level clan mates.
Rage. 3 rage, 11 drags (clan castle) and 5 extra troops space (cc) is strong.
Or take a zap spell for the CC
