New Defensive Spell - Fog of War

This trap is meant to confuse the opponent and perhaps ward them off from attacking since they may have forgotten where crucial things were placed.

Dark elixir trap unlocked at town hall level 7. Once placed will form a fog of war patch within it's a range radius.

Town hall 7 unlocks 1, each subsequent TH level unlocks one more
Cost: 5,000 DE, lvl 2 10,000 DE, lvl 3 20,000 DE, lvl 4 40,000 DE
Size: one square
Range: lvl 1: 4, lvl 2: 5, lvl 3: 6, lvl 4: 7
Re-arm: Lvl 1 50 DE, Lvl 2 75 DE, lvl 3 100 DE, lvl 4 125 DE

When the opponent is scouting a base the fog of war is not present, once the opponent commences the attack then the traps activate and create black spots concealing the areas within it's range. Once the troop of an opponent walks within that trap's circle the fog is removed and will have to be re-armed for future use.

** based on the comments so far the costs have been reduced by half, and it should be clarified that this is in fact a trap, not a spell.

Cool idea you've got here but it needs tweaking...im gonna assume u are some noob because im a maxed th9 and I'm not spending 10,000 de for a trap and then upgrading at those ridiculous costs! Also what th7 has 10,000 de without gemming, they already have to gem barb king if they want it PLUS there is a recent thread i commented on about noobs wasting space on the forum PRIME EXAMPLE...pls talk over your idea with someone who knows what they're doing :)

10000 DE is easy to get its called FARMING! You noob I have barb king and minions lvl2 TH7 and I'm saving up to upgrade my king. You obviously don't know how to strategise.

Well, the rearm is cheap. I am also TH9 and I think it would be worth getting an expensive trap as long as the rearm is cheap. I think fog of wars can be cool. Maybe they might even end up introducing a new troop to counter the fog.

By the way, is the trap one square or the fog? Otherwise, what is the fog radius?

This trap seems pointless I think about where I'm atking before I place my troops.
secondly it costs way way too much!!!! No way would I spend this much on a trap

The one square refers to how much space the actual trap takes up, the fog radius is how far the fog stretches, works similar to the range of defensive structures.

Fair point.

Most people tend to plan their troop placement before placing attacks, and others tend to just place troops as they go along, this trap is designed to punish the latter. This trap is also supposed to disrupt your spell placement and troop placement timing, for example hogs and the healing spell.

I guess the cost is the main complaint so far.

You can not get enough de at the lvl 7

ok then. i also think the price should be lowered.

Updated: with the costs reduced to 50% of the original cost and a clarification that this is in fact a trap and not a spell.

A further clarification on how troops can dispel or stop the effects of the trap:

When troops enter into the "fog" they only reveal the part of the map that they are standing pretty much exactly like in warcraft and starcraft. The full effects of the fog will be dispelled only by a troop moving over the trap. Note however troops can still fire at things covered by the fog the fog is only meant to hinder the attacking player.
