Revenge broken ?

Hi guys,

On my way to champs, I've been 1 starred by a mass drag army... A TH 8 who had 250 trophies more than me.
I tried to revenge him and it said "The player is currently online" (approximate translation from French). I thought "sweeeet, a 3 stars revenge for 40 trophies... that'll help !"

So, I didn't even think about it, I spent like 30 minutes just pressing the "Revenge" button, and it told me the same message. And then, out of nowhere, the messages changes to "This village has a shield". And I was pressing revenge the whole time.

How did this happen ??

Maybe they bought a shield before they quit?

Hum, didn't think about that, even though I find it kinda unlikely (since you can't buy shield one after another).

You can't?
Also, champion is famous for not letting people revenge, they go from "online" to "this village is under attack" to "shield"

I'm pretty sure there's a cooldown period after you buy one - can't confirm 100%, never did it myself. And yeah, I never revenged a champ before, but as I was pressing "revenge" the whole time, I kinda exepected to be the first one to be able to attack him.

With the same shield yes, but I think you can buy the two shields available on champions together

It still would be a coincidence that he bought one at this exact time. Possible though.
Even if, considering his succeeded attacks changed since this afternoon, it would mean I broke a bought shield...

It happens sometime, either from a delay in game play, or another player doing the same thing you were.

Is it possible that they were attacked and got a shield, then got online and collected resources but didn't break their shield (you would get "Player is online" message), and then logged off (you would get "player has a shield" message)?
Or they were town hall sniped in the new seconds it takes you to quit, hit the button, and revenge again?

Possibility 1- He was online because he was having to much resource, than he decided to buy a shield.

Possibility 2- It can be about your internet connection

Possibility 3- He was having too much resource that somebody attacked him at the moment he got offline

Possibility 4- Somebody was trying to do the same thing as you do :P

Yeah, that makes sens. I hope I'll revenge him one day though :P
