Leader (or co-leader) to nominate who goes to war..!

Okay. This comes to our concern because our clan is made up by friends.
Friends in real life. (Eg. colleagues, relatives and etc).
We have 30 over members now.

What bothers us is, at any given time, some prefer to farm, others are always eager for war.
But we can't just kick those "farmers" out from the clan so that we can secure high attacking rates in war. Because we have known each others for years, if not we meet up on daily basis (colleagues).
Thus in return, we keep losing wars and some members are already making noise.

So yea, that explains how we come to this idea by suggesting leader or co-leader to nominate who to go to war. Without having to kick out clan members.


Or alternatively, maybe we can look at giving clan members the option to choose "to war, OR skip next war"?


p/s: we are from Asian country. Which our culture is more to collectivism. Maintaining harmonious relationship is always our utmost concern I would say. Thus, kicking out clan members is really a bad choice to make in our context.

But there's one similarity we share in our clan. We love coc.

I think an opt-out button for a clan war would be a good idea! It would allow clan members that are focusing on farming to be able to stay farming. If you have clanmates who don't participate in a clan war then they are just acting as dead weight.

An opt out button sounds great.

I think it would need to be an Opt Out status that the user changes when they want to. That way when a war was started the matching system would already know how many participants were available. A button to opt out of each war would take a long time to get 100% feedback, which would decide if it was a 15-vs-15 war or a 40 -vs- 40 war.

One drawback may be the elimination of 50-50 wars. If the leader could set the clan as a "War" clan they could better attract those types of players instead of wondering about each newly joined member.

Otherwise I like the idea.

This might be remedied by having a constant button in the clan war tab that you can toggle. Kind of like the sleep/guard button on a hero. If you want to "opt out" your button has to be set to that before the clan war search is started. If you want to "join the fight" the button has to be set to that before the search is started. That way each player can select and if there is an inactive player, then they will be constantly set on doing whatever their setting is on. This could also help potentially identify inactive players and allow leaders and coleads to kick...and allow leaders and coleads to set requirement of participating in at least 1 clan war per cycle or something like that.

Im sorry, but your clans inactivity is not supercells problem nor is it the problem of the clan who you've been randomly selected against. Your job as clan leader or co leader is to manage your clan and to control the inactivity within it. By kicking, warning and replacing those inactive members with active ones. If you're not willing to do this, then there isn't much supercell can do. And you shouldn't start any wars with any clans.. Supercell has stated, that you don't have to go to war if you don't want to. It is an option not an obligation.

I totally agree to an opt out facility. As a clan leader I dont want to kick out loyal, active members who are farming and dont want to war. The responsibility of filling war cc's always falls on the top players, sometimes they have no wish to use all their available resources if they are saving towards an upgrade. We are presently utilising a war clan, but this gives its own problems, getting members from time zones around the world into a clan at a predetermined time. Some players take wars seriously, others less so, this gives rise to arguments. My life would be so much easier if we could hold wars in our main clan.;)

I agree that Supercell is not responsible for inactive players and that should be managed by each clan. But....no one is talking about inactive players. You have completely missed the point of this request by numerous posters. This is a clan management tool needed for active players. The OPT out/in option is a flat must have and I really can't believe they haven't put it in yet.

I would love an option not to go to war, it wouldn't be too bad!

I really like this Idea, many people in my clan like to go to war, and sometimes they aren't in the war which could effect us as where a fairly decent, high clan (nothing like 100-200) but anyway, so i really think this Idea should be added!
