Village Defensive Buff: Fortification
Currently, the only village buff that is available and purchasable is the shield. 12 hours for every 40% village destroyed and 16 hours if you got flattened.
I'm proposing another buff similar to shield, activates based on damage percentage of village and is also purchasable using gems.
I'm calling it the Fortification buff.
The buff provides 10% increase in dps, attack speed and hit points of all buildings (excluding walls) while active. Clan castle troops will also recieve 10% increase in dps, attack speed, hitpoints and movement speed.
The activation of the buff:
0-19% damage to village: Does not activate
20-39% damage: 2 hours fortification
40-99% damage: 4 hours fortification (together with a 12 hour shield)
100% damage: 6 hours fortification (with the 16 hour shield)
*The destruction of the Townhall will not activate Fortification.
One objective of the buff is to strenghten defenses for unshielded consecutive attacks. It is also to encourage 'breaking' shields as the defender have a better chance at defense for a time or was attacked during a break from a planned raiding session.
Fortification time will stack if there is still time left on the buff and the village is attacked and met the requirement for another fortification, to further encourage shield 'breaking' and makes the villages eligible for raids again.
The fortification will have no effect whatsoever to war villages, the same as shields.
