Oh are you saying to cut the Damage Per Second into 3 different attacks?

I just don't see this Wolf... being an Offensive Unit as you have described it... Sorry...
But... instead of a Wolf. What about a WOLVES DEN, for Defensive purposes only? L1 Den available at TC L2, maybe 3. Speed of wolf makes it hard to stop, but destroy its Den, and its dead next hit.
Wolf itself however, being aggressively fast, tears any unit to shreds in seconds.
Every even level of Den, increases Den Hit Points (HP) only. Odd # levels, adds another Wolf, & +HP.
So as long as Den stands, Wolves (however many there are) can't be stopped. Attacking would need strategy to distract wolves, while trying to destroy Den. Defensively, if protect Den with Cannons or towers, could be effective. Again, once Den falls, wolves fall on first strike of each.
So obviously L1 Den, starting out, has minimum HP, 1 Wolf. L2, added HP, 1 wolf. L3 added HP, 2 wolves. L4, added HP. L5, Added HP, 3 Wolves... etc. L10 Den would have 5 Wolves with max Den HP.
NOW... Do NOT dismiss the Offensive potential yet!
I say when the Wolves Den is L5 or 6, also allows the WARE-WOLF to be trained as a Companion Unit to The King. So make the req for The Ware-wolf to first Need the King to be like L2 or 3 or something (even Higher, as King effectiveness greatly increases with Ware-wolf). Ware-wolf only available as a Companion to the King on it's outing (attacking), ineffective when King is Defending.
The Ware-wolf acts like a protector to the King, helping it stay alive longer. The Ware-wolf does not attack buildings or structures, however has a Frightening effect on the Defensive units occupying the structures. The ware-wolf can attack any defensive units, but instead of killing them, they are turned Berserk for short time; turning on their own. When the King and ware-wolf first spawn, the Ware-wolf has free roam anywhere on map, with a Fearsome radius of 3 tiles where ever it roams; shunting any defensive structure in fear within radius of ware-wolf while on its prowl. As ware-wolf continues to move, Defensive structure becomes effective if out of radius again, if not destroyed by something else.
However, while Ware-wolf is out on Prowl, always returns to The King's Aid when King is being attacked. Regular Wolves from the Wolves Den are immune to The Ware-wolf's fear-some-ness, furthermore the Wolves Den wolves have 1.5x effectiveness attacking the Ware-Wolf. Wizards (And Wiz Towers) and Witches are also unaffected by the Fear-some-ness and/or Berserk effect the Ware-wolf has on others, but do not have increased effectiveness; just does same damage.
IMO of course. What's everyone think??
Agreed, I don't think this is a bad offensive troop at all! It actually sounds pretty cool! I admit, I did not read the details for the "wolves den" idea, but I think that we should stick with the idea of it just being an offensive troops. Feel free to make another thread tho about that idea.
What special ability can it have:
-summons temporary pack for about 5 sec (but it would be like a witch)
-as it gets weaker, damage gets stronger.
Any other ideas would be great, but try not to make it like another DE troop.
That's why my idea changed it a little bit. I know it wasn't what he originally thought... reason for my edited version. Wolves are Territorial by nature. though they do hunt, they try to stay close to home, and very keen at protecting their wolves den. Hence the Wolves Den as a Defensive structure for your map.
For the Offensive unit that he was looking for, I added to my idea the Ware-wolf as a Companion to a L3-L4 King to improve its effectiveness when it attacks. The warewolf has a frightening effect on any defensive unit within range of ware-wolf (basically freezes defensive structures), but has a Berserk effect on units it attacks (like Ware-wolves do), but unable to damage structures.
Again, just my own opinion. I don't know how to write it all out as the designers want to see it... but my idea was all listed in a prior response on this thread.
