Is it necessary to use funneling at th5?
No because too little traps and too little walls. I suggest starting funneling at TH 7. :)
Not necessary, but very helpful.
Well, I doesn't hurt to do it. I use a slight variation of this base.
Mostly what I did was rotate it 90 degrees. I noticed that, for whatever reason, most attackers come from the west so I wanted the funnel facing west.
I would post my logs but I'm TH sniping up in C3 right now so every attack is a TH snipe in return or some TH 9/10 steamrolling me. When I was in a more normal TH5 trophy range the base served me well.
No wait till th7 then funnel away

Funneling is affective at most all levels, think of who and what will be attacking you the most. If BAG attack then set different traps, or funneling designs that affect each. If you want, post a pic of your base, and the forum can post ideas, or at least I will...8)Quote:
