This was my base when i lost 120k gold + elix, 2 of my air defense were outside and easy to destroy by few archers ..

@bengan bottom left side, line of barbs to trigger external springs and bombs fire in some giants to draw fire then in with 15 wb in bursts of 3-4 at a time straight through to the middle, follow in with barbs archers and then goblins, clean the middle out in a minute.

Some past raids below, a lot of these were before walls were almost completely level 7.

Level 52 - 156 archers, 1 healer, 9 WB, 1 healing spell - 1 star loss 3k/51k.
Level 66 - 69 archers, 17 giants, 6 WB, 40 goblins, - 1 star loss 157/60k.
Level 42 - 27 giants, 39 archers - 1 star loss 688/6k.
Level 60 - 7 giants, 11 WB, 43 archers, 39 barbs, 1 pekka, 47 gobs, clan troops - 1 star loss 107k/90k.
Level 63- 12 giants, 118 archers, 8 WB, 12 goblins - 2 star loss 44k/67k.
Level 59 - 16 giants, 12 WB, 21 barbs, 37 archers, 2 healers, clan troops, and a rage and lightning spell - 1 star loss 165k/92k.

Maybe not as easy as you think? WB are drawn towards reinforced walls and tend to be wasted in the attacks I've seen so far. Southern corner and top appear to be main areas for attacks.Pretty happy with how it's working, would love to see how you went though and thanks for your feedback. I agree completely with level 5 mortars their damage would make an attack far harder to be successful.

Idk man, drew out how I'd do it above. Black= WB, purple = archers, orange= giants, green = gobs. There aren't any spikes on that side so WB shouldn't have any trouble.

For Town Hall lv7... I think this village has quite a good layout if you want to get resource you would need a lot of wall breaker to get in to the middle of the village. Long walk way to the wall is the key of protection for this village.

Advice Needed

Erm, any comment or criticism is appreciated; I will humbly take in and improve my base.

My 2 wizard towers are upgrading now and being useless, I put them outside temporary to attract giants which swarm towards it (placed by unfortunately inexperienced players) and my mortars and defences weakens them in the process.

Otherwise, for the inner core, it will be like:

WT M WT
GS AD GS
M WT M

Where: WT = wizard tower, AD = air defence, GS = gold storage, M = mortar

I can afford to lose elixer as I noticed that my elixer storages are usually full (since upgrading of troops and spells which uses elixer takes ages) and that explains why my elixer storages are less protected.

Usually, looters can't get into my inner core except when they use 15wb and above, which is rare (don't ask me why). But my wizard towers (all 3 of them, before 2 of them are upgraded) will usually take care of the goblins which scatter in.

Of course, I have lost about 180k gold twice before: one used jump spell on his goblins (fantastic and eye opening, btw) and the other used 20 giants, 20 wb, and goblins which took down one of my gold storages.

Quick question: should I improve my spike walls by increasing the gap in between to 2 spaces and using the free-up walls to reinforce existing spikes to 2 tiers?

Normally i will attack from southwest with my usual troops: 8 wbs, 8 giants, rests are gobs barbs and archers. But i hate that tH, so i guess i just skip your village

Hey guys here's my th7 base upgrading to th8 now. Let me know what you think. I'm avid about making my own bases and not copying. Wish I had my previous to show you, it was just three diamonds stacked on each other overlapping a bit.

i forget which gem package I got, swear it was about forty cos that's what I got the gc amount for..and gem for two additional builders, couldn't get a fifth without paying more.

ive finished maxing archers, cannons, mortars, research lab and the troops so now my th is being upgraded to th8

the walls are almost done but as I'm waiting I'm upgrading them to purple

Was farming for ages using Pedro's guide. Now jumped to 2050 cups at lvl79.

Looking for a solid top 20 clan.

It worked well below the 1700-1900 range. Not much winning now with 1800 cups. Another 50 walls with TH 8 will help. I'll post my rendition when my upgrade is done, 5 more days.

Not impressive... U got lv 5 walls.... At least get them all to lv 6. 3 wb from each side and some taints can take all of ur def making you very easy to raid. Wb- gaint- arch raid will destroy you.

Hi Jeff, welcome it's great you joined us.

I've got to say that's an awesome base - I love the wb defences, your defensive structures are well spaced. If I were to attack you i'd try from the right where there are no little wall pieces and the cc is a bit further away. If you were worth the gold to me I'd probably throw down a couple giants to distract the defences lay down rage and then see if i can get wb onto the apex of your perimeter wall on the right. if i could get one targeted correctly then i'd send 15 or so through the rage circle.

then in with the barbs, archers and goblins to take the middle.

Thankyou for the advice. I was more going for the how the design and placement was. My walls were like that because I was farming pretty low and got stuck when my th switched so I'm raising my trophies real quick. So do you mean that that's just a terrible design and I should try a different one or just that it's bad because I can't upgrade everything that comes with th 8 to max in a couple hours?

I would attack from the northwest side as the walls are lower level there, and it looks like less traps. (I'm assuming i don't know where the traps are).

For me south east side is best option because less building to clean, and after i can send giant and mass wbs before i send goblins in

I would attack from the northwest side as the walls are lower level there, and it looks like less traps. (I'm assuming i don't know where the traps are).

Testing alabamafan's base design (also used by unicorn in Bonbee). Resource raid w 1 star - 8 l3 dragons + 45 max archers.

Any critique of this design appreciated. Especially from Snr peeps.

Thanks for posting IRoss. Now if I could get some thoughts/comments...maybe where you would attack from that would be great as I have enjoyed seeing other bases and hearing what ya'll think...

I've been playing about a week after the IPhone 5 came out so late September I think this was first game app I downloaded and got hooked (reminds me a little of Evony). Just got my 5th builder a few days ago making total $35 spent for that purpose only; no gemming buildings or troops.

I would first take out the army camps and spell factory with archers. Then I would send in WBs to destroy the wall right next to the wizard tower and attack from there.

I'm using Moe's Beetle as is Didi and a few others from iQuit, it works well. Most I've lost is 60k in the northern section (and I was upgrading 4 defenses at once).

Well - your tessla placement is fairly obvious so i'd probably go from the th side, take that out then pretty standard stuff, trigger bombs and traps with a line of barbs then giants on one side to draw fire then in with the wb, follow in with the barbs and archers - the problem is there's only effectively two walls between the outside and the middle, compartmentalising the base would slow an attacker down and spikes would be a deterrent against wb.

Sorry if this sounds a bit harsh you have some great defensive buildings but your walls are letting you down - a priority would be to go all pink if not purple tbh

I would spread those wiz towers out, you might get 2-3 starred if your attacker used max spells though which isn't very good, a great maxed base should be able to hold off the 3 stars most of the time, good design but IMO it needs some tweaks

Thanks for thoughts, yeah i know that is my weakest side(which is why I put town hall there so if people do attack that side at least I'll get a shield no matter how much resources they get. I will get those yellow ones to pink pretty soon but it takes 2 level 5 wall breakers for pink and purple walls, 3 for skull walls so that's a lot of gold I would rather spend on defenses so I'm not too concerned with upgrading walls. Also the wizard tower placement is just because they are being upgraded, not sure what I'll do when done.
