I took my hidden stuff out (Tesla and Traps) and I am currently working on bringing my new defenses up to speed. Any suggestions for improvement or what to focus on upgrading next would be welcome :)

I have done the same with two of my elixir storages and it works like a charm. Everyone attacks there so I load it with traps, teslas and my gold almost always goes untouched. I will upload a pic when I get home.

Sorry this may be off topic, but would anyone give me some tips on how to build a defensive base, that also does not look really bad? I would greatly appreciate a reply

Not off topic at all. But before we give you tips we must know your TH level, Trophy range, XP level, and social security number (just kidding about the last one)

This is my current TH 6 Base:

Any suggestions on what I should upgrade first when my town hall is finished upgrading?

Also, would it be smarter to work off this design or completely rearrange everything once I am TH 7?
I currently have ~1000 trophies and am planning on finishing my walls before the TH is done.

very nice TH6 base. On the topic of what to upgrade next, get your new mortar to the same caliber as your others. Perhaps take a at least one to lvl5. Get the lvl5 lab and upgrade troops and try and farm some nice walls.

Ok thanks I am TH4 nearly have enough to upgrade though and I am at this time level 19 and my trophies are 425. Sorry I am abit of a noob. So can you help? :)

Sorry I don't really remember much from my TH4 days. I was always pretty bad back then anyways. Just protect your TH and money

Yes do not rush to TH9 one of the worst things to do. I was a TH8 with lvl4 walls and lvl2 mortars, huge mistake. I just started TH9 but I took my time with the TH8 and have a strong defense now, splash damages upgrading to max. I timed it so my x-bow will finish on Christmas xD
