I usually keep it.
if I am available to raid I always break it. Even if it is one raid.
If I am going out or going to bed, I leave it alone.
90%-95% of attacks against me are just townhall snipes when I am farming anyways.
My rule of thumb is I break it if I have time for 2 or more raids, and I keep it if I don't.
When im farming i never run out my shields. When im pushing i usually wait awhile to relax so that I'm not tense when i raid

If it’s 7 at night on a weekday so a 12 hour shield would expire when I have been up for an hour or so, I’m only going to get in one more raid anyway, my storages are almost full and I’m a nice big target, and I don’t need to get loot for an upgrade then nope I won’t break it.
If on the other hand it’s 4 in the afternoon on a weekend with plenty of time for more raids, the shield that I’ve been given will expire at 4 in the morning meaning my collectors are all going to get looted by the first person to find my base if I don’t get a fresh one later on, my storages are empty so I’ve got plenty of room to add more loot, and I will urgently need that loot for an upgrade in the next couple of hours then I will definitely break it.
Anything in between those two extremes is a judgement call.
Exactly how i use it. Although if I'm going to bed and there's like 1-2 hours left on the shield then I will also break it.Quote:
