Army camps help WAY more. Farming is best with bam anyways

I don't see why you can't have both?
Upgrading in the lab doesn't 'cost' a builder.
If you are short of loot then (personally) I think it's better to keep the lab ticking over:
0/1 labs and 4/4 builders working
OR
1/1 labs and 3/4 builders working
I chose the first every time
(I'm not saying it has to be something expensive like giants, eventually you will upgrade everything, and there's likely something cheap still on the list)
