The best loot in the game is th9 and you get access to the primary farming troops (arch6,barb6, mini5, balloon6, 220 camps). Id jump to th9 as soon as you got lvl5 troops, rax and army camps done. Id wait to max out th9 before hitting th10. Loot drops of dramatically at that point. Youll see about the same max loot at th10 as th9, but losing access to th8s to farm makes loot becomes very inconsistent. But be warned, th9 is going to feel like it takes forever since youre combining th8 and th9 together.

Would max your defences and whilst the long upgrades are happening (teslas & air defence) you can farm some more level 8 walls. Future you would appreciate you farming some more walls as he/she has lots of new and expensive upgrades to be doing

I was a max TH8 besides 1 lvl of teslas and personally its the best decision I think I made. Once you Upgrade your TH you only have to worry about the new TH9 upgrades and not about farming walls etc to max TH9 and as someone said above the loot penalty takes TH8s away as viable targets. Keep pushing on with TH8 mate.

Agree with this. But it sounds like you aren't too active a farmer as your walls aren't all lvl8 yet. I had to go to TH 9 with slightly worse def than you as my walls were maxed and I was constantly sitting on full storages making raiding kind of boring as there was no room for the loot. One thing to remember though is that there are so many new players that started when the android version was released who are now reaching lvl9 town halls - this in my opinion means that the loot will not be bad at all at TH 9 (I have never complained about bad loot).

Ultimately it is your choice, but I would go for it if you consider yourself active enough. Town Hall 9 is way more fun than TH8. There are many topics covering this topic also, but this is the best so far

I had max defs when I went to TH9, but my walls were in a similar position to yours (EDIT: actually thinking again, you have more skulls than I did). I had no problem. I had better loot at tH9 due to the better troops, more camp space and AQ etc. This was under the old loot system.

It might be worth having all your builders have one more upgrade before going to TH9.

Maxing completely is over rated for me.

I have all my defences maxed except teslas (lvl4) what should i do??!
