Hi all! I have been playing CoC for a few months, and I am the leader of a full clan :) To get to the point, I thought of a few ideas, to help organize clans a bit better.
1. Members could apply for a promotion. Maybe on their Clan page, there is an "apply" tab where you write a sentence or two about why you should be promoted. This would have no affect on Co-Leaders.
I guess this is better than people begging for elder all the time.
2. For my clan, Elder is earned by donating 300 troops. Maybe once you reach 300 donations (or whatever yours is set to) you automatically get Elder.
What if they just donate ♥♥♥♥ that no one wants? I don't think they deserve elder in that case.
3. Give your clan a language. When creating a clan, add another tab that could give your clan a set language, so players looking to join will know. This may sound stupid, but you'd be surprised how many foreign players join and can't read English so they donate random troops.
Makes sense to me.
4. I know this has been suggested before, but I just wanted to make it my own. You can have a partner/sister/feeder clan chat, but only Leaders or Co-Leaders can talk there. I feel it would be a better way for your clans to stay in touch.
Most clans with sister/feeder clans have alternative ways of communicating, like google hangout, a clan webpage, etc.
5. Increase length for About Clan, Clan Mail and maybe even the chat. Any (Co)Leaders know what I'm talking about. The current length of these are pathetic.
Yes we struggle to fit in everything we want to say in such little characters.
6. Turn off Clan Chat notifications.
I don't really mind this, it's just a little number beside the tab, I can easily just ignore it.
7. When you donate on the Clan War map, that should count in the overall donation count for that League.
Whoops, I read this incorrectly the first time. I think clan war base donations already count toward league donations don't they? Just not towards the "friend in need" achievement, which I agree is the correct way to go about it.
NOTE: I've been adding to this thread, so the title is wrong. It should say "Clan Ideas" or something.
