Complete deletion/ban of a specific person from your farm and shop
Well that's not very nice! Would you like it if that was done to you?
I'm afraid you may have worded this strangely and it could easily be misunderstood.
I believe you're asking for is a "block" feature that could be placed on individual "unwelcome guests" who you feel have been....let's say "abrasive" to your way of playing, which is something others have asked for.
It took a very long time for them to institute the companion "delete" feature to followers, so who knows what they may institute sometime in the future.
Of course nobody would like to be blocked, a.k.a. unwelcome to someone's farm. I would probably feel quite guilty if I did that to someone. That being said, I do understand why it would be better to have the possibility to do it, because everyone is playing for their own enjoyment. If someone else is causing you stress in a game you're supposed to be playing for fun, why would you continue playing? Just to make yourself upset? True, it's just a game, but it is supposed to be fun. Besides, much as I would feel bad if I were blocked from a farm, I would prefer it to annoying someone else and ruining their game without even realizing it. There are after all, so many other farms who might appreciate my visits. Still, because it's a big deal, I doubt it would be implemented. So what to do? Chamomile tea, perhaps? Or maybe a shrug and continuously thinking "it's just a game" would help. I have been in such a situation once. It wasn't pleasant, and I stopped playing for a day. Then I dropped off their last helper list, and I had fun again. Sometimes it helps to remember, everyone else is just trying to have fun too.
Maybe just banning Tom from your shop, as he always ends up with the advertised items that I don't want anyone to see!!!!
Sorry, but I don't understand what problems can be caused by someone buying stuff that you're selling. Perhaps you could explain.
While you deeply respect and encourage players to buy items. Hay Day, please respect those who would like to block certain players from their farms. It may be that there are more of us than you believe that want this block button. Please find your most ingenious and intelligent among you to create this block button!
Why would anyone want to block someone? I just can't think of a reason for doing so. There is nothing at one can do outside of buying things from your Roadside Stand, helping with boat orders and helping tree and bushes.
If they are a follower or neighbor and are bothering you all that much then just delete them.
On the other hand, if you helped a boat from a flag you saw in the paper all you can do is hope you fall off their last helper list soon.
I don't need a block button, but for those that do I hope you get your request.
I was always happy when I filled my shop and people bought everything.
When I joined the forum last year I saw many complaints about people's shops getting raided. Huh? Their complaint was that one person bought everything, or almost everything, that was in their shop. I have one neighbor that I know feels that way, so I'm careful about what I buy from them. They are a good neighbor so I continue to have them on my friends bar.
If you put things up for sale, why does it matter who buys and how much as long as you sell. I rarely buy everythng is a Roadside Stand, simply because I don't need everything. That said, if I need, want or its at a price I can resell for a reasonable profit I will buy it all.
As already said, followers can be unfollowed. Helpers roll off, unless they help you again, or you help them, then you are on thier list. Friends can be unfriended, neighbors can be removed.
As you say, we can unfollow farms, and "last helpers" eventually drop off the list. I would like to be able to remove farms from my friends bar for a totally different situation. I have several family members who were playing HayDay but, for whatever reasons, have let their farms go dormant. Because they are family and our Facebook connection is important, unfriending them obviously isn't an option. It would be FANTASTIC to be able to remove their farms from the bar, or even to simply hide them, till they activate the farm again.
I had a situation in the beginning where I couldn't get rid of someone (totally different) but would have been so much easier with a block button... Same goes for i think we should be able to block certain people from trying to join a neighborhood. I have players that used to be in my hood that just keep trying to come back lol. Oh well worth a try:)
I have a roadside shop of 600 crates. I started small but as time went on, I took on more crates to increase the distance from the least desireable items to the items that are rare to find in a roadside shop. I advertised less and less, until eventually I stopped altogether. When the neighborhoods came into play, my shop became the place to get the needed items for the boat and truck deliveries for my neighbors. Of course, being a type A personality, I organized it so that my neighbors could easily find the items they needed at the amounts they needed. So the shop kept growing because I would try to place items that were not frequently seen in the newspaper at the far end of the shop. My neighbors knew the items were there at the end of this very long shop. That worked sufficiently until a few people figured it out and kept coming back to my shop even though they were not followers ( i don't keep followers, i delete them as soon as I see them). I stopped helping strangers with filling their boat crates, and didn't water plants so that I would not appear on their last helped list. I did not add players as friend in Facebook nor did i maintain a friends list on Game Center. With all the precautions I took, i still had persistent people return to the shop and decimate it. I agree that if you put it there you need to forget about it but when I happened upon a person who was following me and go to their roadside shop, I noticed that they had taken all my roadside shop items and placed them in theirs. I had taken the time to shop the newspaper and to produce items to stock my shop for the neighbors. I would not have minded except they took everything at max price and placed them in their shop. The amounts were the same as well as the items. So, in essence, I did all the work just to have them take it and place the items in their shop. At first, i just thought it a coincident but as time went on, they continued to decimate my shop to stock theirs. This sounds utterly unbelievable but once they got used to taking a hundred milks, all the nice produce and ores, etc., my neighbors were left with nothing I prepared for them. So I would have to either take all the items back from her or start shopping again to replace all the items that were taken to fill her shop. I didn't want to start that kind of "war" over items, so I opted to once again do the shopping required to gather items for my shop again. This continued until I reported it to HayDay and asked for their advice and assistance.
So, I had the idea given to me by the support people to stop using my shop altogether for a month so that this person would stop her behavior. This person was similar to me: about the same level and approximate same size shop, which was slightly smaller than mine but still a considerably large shop in comparison to the majority of shops. After a month, I had hopes she was finished with me but this was not the case. I started supplying items again and that person continued her behavior.
So now you know the other part of the story unknown to you and the reason for my request for the delete button!
OMG how annoying that is! I've had the same thing happen..just yesterday in fact and my shop is no where near as big as yours. Every time I stocked my shop, one person would snatch everything. I agree with you..that's not cool. A block button is definitely needed.
Okay! Let me beat myself up sufficiently to make you happy. This is a joke on me! Lol
While there are multiple places from which other HayDay players can visit your farm, leaderboards, Game Center, etc., I sit quietly by myself, consciously trying to be helpful to my neighbors, showing loyalty and favoritism to them which is quite obvious, at least to me it is. My intentions are not harmful. Maybe misguided, but not harmful.
I am unable to use my roadside shop as I desire. There is not an area that is specifically for neighbors. I have to be ever vigilant and careful as to the timing of a trade as if it is a covert operation. I must watch out for people who are either uneducated on the process and location of trades or they just plainly lose all common sense at the sight of a virtual item. Of which there is nothing within my control or non existant power to resolve the issue. I follow the standard which is to place a single wheat at the end of the shop and the item(s) up for trade.
To eliminate variables that can interrupt a trade, I have personally purchased the maximum number of crates available to be as far away from the beginning of my shop as possible. Yet, trade items are sometimes purchased by the people who probably do know about the trading process and still take the trading items anyway if it is left there for more than a few minutes. The last two or three crates at the end of a players roadside shop should be the designated private area where neighbors are the only ones who have access. Since this feature is not available, anyone can take the items and disappear with them. It takes an miracle if the items are returned and frequently the items are not returned. The HayDay player can feign selective vision and knowledge or frequently has ability to just ignore you as if you aren't trying to get their attention when just a few moments previous they were able to visualize that item at the end of your shop. They just didn't have control over their fingers when they pressed the crate and got the item. It's as if they leave their knowledge at the entrance of your shop and pick it back up upon their exit from your shop. You are then deleted and forgotten as if you were data on a floppy disc. There must be a medical condition with a very catchy title for this event! I hope you have enjoyed this little verbage of comedy!
Actually, I am disappointed these people keep coming back and taking the all the really nice items i have placed in multiple crates so everyone can get some if they need them. Maybe I can explain it better. I place, for example, 18 diamond rings in three crates of 6 each. Non neighbors would buy all three crates without thought or consideration of others. My neighbors know I have used the three crates for the sole purpose that more than one person can have access to diamond rings. I participate in a great neighborhood where we all work together so everyone of us has their needs met. We are unified in thought and action to the goal of helping each other as you would your family. We have bonded and are quite happy with our neighborhood.
I'm replying from the point of view of a farmer who has never visited the forums and doesn't belong to a neighborhood which was the case for me for the first several months I played.
I would scroll across the crates in a RSS and find things at the far end, but I had no idea that they were "reserved" under a system that I had no idea existed (and that is not a planned feature). I was in a shop once where I saw "good stuff" being put up and immediately purchased. It was obvious that the buyer was waiting for each item. I watched for a while and decided there was an arrangement between seller and buyer, but I didn't know how it worked. Now I know. If I could have beaten the buyer to the crate, I would have; and I was just there by the luck of timing. I hadn't even explored the friend/follower/helper tabs.
I've read the "rules" for setting up a trade, and it's my understanding that the preferred method is to put one wheat in the last crate and WAIT UNTIL THE INTENDED BUYER TAKES IT. That shows that the person is waiting. Putting the single wheat up as a "sign" and then placing desirable items in crates is guaranteed to fail, in my opinion. Even without an ad in the DSS, followers might visit your RSS; and if you do have an ad for other items, those "reserved" items will absolutely be purchased by any of the thousands of farmers who don't know "the rules." Speaking for myself, if I see a rare item, I buy it before I can even focus on the price or number offered--I wouldn't even notice a single wheat in the vicinity especially since it's odd not to see wheat in a shop.
I only trade with one friend in our tiny neighborhood, and I've had trades I put up for her "snatched" because I accidentally put an ad in the paper and she wasn't quite ready. That's the game, and it wouldn't work for many players without "good" items in the RSS. Personally, I hope Hay Day never formally allows a two-tier shop. It would pull too many experienced farmers out of the general pool. I think that having EVERY player in the same shop is important for the continued life of the game.
That is not nice, its a Game, and if you put in the shop obviously it's meant to be sold. Does it really matter that much you are still getting the coins.
