Enough jam boats! Please!

I thought there had been a thread before, I can not find it now. The amount of jam boats is ridiculous! Almost every other boat wants jams. I now have a boat wanting two different jams and I'm going to sink it. It is impossible to fill these orders and I will not expect others to fill a jam crate for me.

Many of my neighbors feel the same, it is ridiculous! With all the items we produce, why are we bombarded with jam? We don't want to hire tom to fill these crates, we don't want to spend diamonds to speed up our jam machines, we just want the constant jam boats to stop.

Anyone else tired of this?

I've been sending away a lot of my boats every since the event ended because they have such hard orders (crazy amount of diary, sugar, and jams!) :(

btw: I laughed at your phrasing at sending the boats away as "sinking it" lol

Omnieye, it has just been awful! I try to complete as many boats a day as I can. I do spend diamonds to call the next boat early if i know I can fill it immediately. I like to help friends and neighbors and they are always there to help me if needed. But jam is such a time consuming product I simply will not flag a jam boat.

I have been playing for two years, this jam problem is new and not exactly welcome. Several members of our neighborhood are lower level than I and it is very hard for them to complete boats.

My farm name is Paddywack Acres but I have changed it to Paddywack sinks jam boats. A few neighbors so far, have changed their names as well.

Enough already. We are sinking them. To the bottom of the river they go!

LOL. It's probably not in the spirit of Hay Day, but I confess, when I see yet another boat asking for jam, I wish we could use the dynamite and TNT on 'em.

I have had it with jam boats and I will sink any boat that is requesting crates of jam(s). Enough is enough. Takes too long to make and they are requesting an amount that would be impossible unless you had a large supply. Several in my hood are changing our farm names to Sink Jam Boats. I hope this catches on and maybe SuperCell will respond with reason.

I just sank my double jam boat. Sure hurts your boat score when you sink them. My next boat? Cherry jam, really SC? This will be 3 jam boats out of 4 boats today.

This is a game, supposed to be fun. What are you doing? Ive had days where I filled 14 boats, today I have filled 2 and 1 of those had jam.

Well the hay day gods must love me, I haven't had a jam boat in a while. Most of my truck orders want it but unless it's a really good deal I pass. It's the carrot boats that have been the death of me.

On my farm, I noticed a long time ago that sending a boat away empty tends to increase the probability of the next few boats requesting similar products.

As soon as I filled it, I didn't see similar products for quite some time. I haven't seen a jam boat in I don't know how long. They're all coming your way.

Holidae, I have a few other things I would like to say to the captain.

I have usually found the opposite for my boat orders. Today I filled my 1st boat and it had jam. My 2nd boat did not have any jam. The 3rd and 4th boat both had jam. I sank the 3rd, the 4th has not arrived yet.

I seem to have these runs on jam frequently and if I had sank that 1st boat this morning, I probably would not have had multiples throughout the day. I have a pretty big barn, 2350 and jam is an item I horde but between last week and this, I can not catch up on jam. My neighbors are feeling the jam pinch as well.

When next I speak to the captain, I will let him know Holidae is feeling left out.

I went through a run of 6 out of 7 boats asking for jam with a couple asking for two different jams! Now I am stuck on Dairy boats! The last 3 have all asked for dairy products and the one I am wiating for is asking for Cream! I wish they would just mix it up a little so I can catch up in between!!!

I miss the simple days when they just want wheat, popcorn, and maybe cornbread all at once :P

I miss those days too! Or here is an idea, how about smoothie boats! I don't have a jam boat today, yet. Maybe I sank enough yesterday that I will not have another for awhile. Fingers crossed. I do however have several friends with jam boats flagged.

My jam boats usually follow a pattern. There are times that I don't get a single jam boat for a long time but when they do come, they come all at once and for a few consecutive orders. I guess the upside to this is that I can stock up on jam during the dry season and use them during the period that the jam boats come flooding. But I often collect so much during those times I don't get jam orders that when I do get them, I realized that I've already sold a bunch of them. :(

This confirms that it's not just me getting boat after boat after boat asking for jam. I haven't yet sunk a jam boat, but I'm about to start. Because of all the jam boats, I've stopped helping others' jam boats, and I have ALWAYS helped with jam! I'm down to 3 and 4 of each kind which has never happened before, and this after using Tom for two days a few days ago. I, too, never ask for help on jam boats except from my daughter who waits in the wings for me to put the sign up (and I help her boats). But I would never ask someone else because of how costly and slow to make they are. So where's my dynamite, I'm going to start blowing those boats up. (Mine.) :)

And YES to the person who suggested a smoothie boat, but how about requesting more than a single smoothie per crate? How about, say, 5 per crate? I've completely stopped making them because the market is glutted with them and mine take DAYS to sell. I sell wool faster than smoothies. Heck, I bet I could sell eggs 10/180 faster than 2 smoothies. I once had two of each kind (red and green) in my stall for three days. Kept waiting for Tom or Greg to come and get them, which after three days they finally did. And I had ads on both of them, too. No more smoothie production for me until boats start requiring more. As it is, I have 5 each of those two and 2 yogurt smoothies gathering dust in my barn.

I really agree about the jam! The boat orders are really out of balance. Smoothies are normally 1 per crate, or 2 if there's only 3 crates. Salads etc. only need 1 in each, similarly the soups. These numbers just don't compare with the jam boats, considering the production times. There is no real challenge either, to try and fill the smoothie boats etc. Just have to keep 6 in stock and you're covered? Little wonder they sit and sit in the rss without interest. Now, try and find a bacon pie in the dd, as they take over 2 hours and require 8/12 normally per boat! What a mission! Maybe the next update will mix things up a little?

I went a while with 2-3 jam boats each day and could not build any up. Then I had none for a while and was up to 12 - 14 of each jam, then started getting boats again.

Same here. When the boat event started, my boat mission is all about juice and jam until today, nothing else. I'm give up the boat mission and the event untill there is new boat request is NOT about jam and juice :mad:
