How do YOU raid?

I dont want raiding strategies, i just want to hear your favorite way to raid, I find it interesting to see everyone's way of doing things.

I have 200 troop space, I am a TH7 in the Silver 1 Range. I still use Giant Healer to great effect. I use
14 Giants / Level 3
2 Healers / Level 1
10 WB's / Level 3
82 Goblins / Level 4
Barb King / Level 1
Level 2 Rage and Healing Spells as needed

I drop half my giants aimed at an exposed or easily exposed air defense, once it is down, i send in the rest of the giants and healers, then i pulse goblins as needed to take all the resources, once 2 mortars and a wiz are down i rush the rest of the goblins from the already cleared out area. It works very well for me :D

200 archers when farming

6 dragons, 2 pekkas, 30 archers when I wanna spend some elixir.

I hang out in Gold 2

24 balloons, 50 minions, 3 rage, 1 lightning... wizards in CC... hanging out in masters

195 Army space

For farming i use:
100 Goblins (lvl4)
4 Giants (lvl4)
8 Wallbreakers (lvl4)
Rest archers (lvl4)
I use 2 healing spells (lvl3)
and 1 rage (lvl3)

For Trophy hunting i use:
8 Giants (lvl4)
8 Wallbreakers (lvl4)
48 Barbs (lvl4)
Rest Archers (lvl4)
I use 2 healing spells (lvl3)
and 1 rage (lvl3)

For clan wars i use:
8 Dragons (lvl2)
Rest Archers (lvl4)
2 Rage 1 healing OR 3 lightning

Hope this helps you. Try these compositions for yourself.

Troop Composition: 12 wizards, 5 giants, 3 balloons, 14 archers, 6 wall breakers, 6 barbs
Troop Level: wizard giant balloon wall breaker=lv 2, archer barb=lv 3
Deployment: i just put them on a side that seems weak, im not a very good attacker
Trophy Range where it works for us: im around silver 2 if i dont drop

Farming (all lv 4):

10 WB
20 Goblin
70 Barbs
90 Archers


Powerful army:

14 Giants
2 Healers (lv 2)
10 barbs
60 Archers / Wizards (lv 4) or 45+15 goblins
1 Dragon (lv 1)
6 WB

Trophy range Gold 3

when I'm really farming for loot worth waiting for, my composition is
25 giants, 11 wall breakers, 1 healer, and 39 goblins, with a barb king and another healer in clan castle. All my troops are lvl 4, with the healer being lvl 2. I go for bases that have +300k loot in both elixer and gold.

When my elixer collectors are dry, I go with 100 barbs, 100 archers.

I use either BARCH (100 of each), or 12 giants, 40 archers, 6 wall breakers, and 98 goblins.

I'm in Gold II by the way.

For farming:
90 barbarians 130 archers

For trophy pushing:
90 barbarians 130 archers

Farming and trophy pushing: Barch (even or slightly heavy to either troop with 6-8 wall breakers, the occasional rage/heal/lightning spell(s) and BK). Depending on what is being cooked in the spell factory and if the BK is slacking off or not dictates the bases that I target.

When the need presents itself to wreck someone (i.e. revenge attacks and clan war attacks), 10 lev 3 dragons, BK, CC and 3 rage spells.

200 camp space, 8 giants 8 wallbreakers, 76 archers, 48 barbs and 20 gobs, 2 rage 1 heal preferred, but i usually use 2 heal 1 rage because heal takes less time to cook.
Farming in gold 2.

190 2 heal 16 giant 30 arch rest wiz I think... and 1 lightning 1 heal I rage I bk I cc

GoWiPe has been my favorite strategy without question! It's so fun to see Golems walking through hellfire while PEKKA laugh evilily as they destroy everything, the Barbarian King raging with a few barbs, the Wizards casting concentrated blasts of lightning behind them all, together bringing destruction to my enemies and loot to my storages. It brings a smile to my face just thinking about it.

As a relatively new TH8, I am on my way to getting level 1 golems (4d 5h). Any experience/tips (inclusive of "don't") on GoWiPe with lev 1 golems/ lev 5 wizards/ lev 1 PEKKA?

I change it every season but right now I use:
5 Giants (level 2)
6 wall breakers( level 2)
35 barbarians( level 3)
12 wizards ( level 2)

It works pretty well for me at silver 3 and at silver 2 but I haven't tried for too long.

I used this :
12 giants
8 wallbreakers
54 barbarians
90 archers

All maxed level for town hall 9.

Range is everywhere from Gold 2 to Crystal 2.

Sure! First is first, if you haven't, check Youtube for GoWiPe strategy guides. Watching a lot of GoWiPe gameplay helped me a lot.

For strategy:

Picking a base is important, not so much for the layout but where things are placed and their level. If you only have level 1 Golems and PEKKAs (as I did when I started), you can still manage awesome GoWiPe raids, but you have to watch the level of (most importantly) point defenses on the base you want to attack. These will hammer your Golems and PEKKAs too quickly if they are too high of a level. After point defense is scouted, look at position of the Barbarian King. You want to lure him out, and take him out. Clan Castle is not as important as the Barbarian King, typcally I scout where it is but I don't lure it. The Wizards should be able to handle anything that could be in the castle. After this, you're golden. I try to shy away from established TH 9 and well developed 8 if they have high point defenses at level 1 Golems/PEKKA.

Now onto composition and strategy:

Composition:

x10 Wall Breakers
x6 Barbarians (luring)
x1 Barbarian King (not necessary, but very helpful).
x1 Clan Castle - I like backup Wizards, but archers are cool too, or whatever fits you.

Spells:

x2 Rage
x1 Healing (even lvl 1 will do the job)

Strategy:

Step 1: Lure and kill the Barbarian King with Barbarians, and I use 4-5 Wizards to kill the BK.

Step 2: Pick a side of the base you want to attack from. Typically, I go for the quickest way to the Town Hall, or a side that is bare on the outside so I don't have to worry about PEKKAs wandering the outskirts.

Step 3: Release both Golems on the side you want to attack. Clear any outlying buildings with a line of Wizards, but do not use them all. As soon as the Golems are locked onto by defenses, put down Wall Breakers and start to create a path through the base.

Step 4: As soon as you have your path opened and you know your PEKKAs won't drift off elsewhere, drop 'em, and drop more WBs to help create more openings (time is a big enemy for me while using GoWiPe, try to save a couple WB for the end).

Step 5: Drop the rest of your Wizards, your BK if he's with you.

Step 6: Once you're starting to breach the base, drop a rage AND heal on your golems/PEKKA, watch until core is breached.

Step 7: Once in the core, use your last Rage and make sure they take that TH (and loot if you want ;).

Step 8: Enjoy the PEKKA's laugh and the Wizard's lightning, and success if all is done right.

Things to keep in mind:

1) Time is your most threatening enemy for your 3 star once you master the strategy. Keep this in mind when raiding!

2) Deploying your troops should be done all in about 15 seconds once you breach the first wall with Golems. If you're too slow, you'll mess up the raid and your Golems will die before they can do their job (protecting the other troops)!

3) You'll mess up, it's a hard strategy to master. Don't be frustrated (do mourn the loss of your resources, however).

4) Don't ignore luring the BK/AQ -- he/she can screw the raid over.

5) Try to mitigate your resource loss as much as possible! Expensive strategy.

6) Don't forget the evil smile and laugh when you 100% and get tons of resources.

7) Clear all buildings on the side you think will distract your PEKKAs, this is a KEY STEP in the raid.

Turned into a mini guide... hope it helped lol.

I'm in silver 1(just dropped back down after getting to crystal).

I'm TH7 with maxed troops, I train 25 minions and the rest are archers. I also use my barbarian king as a tank. First I surround the base with archers, then once there's an open area, I deploy my barb king and back him up with archers. Then I send in my minions to wreck the base.

I like barch cuz its quick cheap and efficient. I just have a constant flow of barbs from two barracks and a constant flow of archers from the other two barracks.

1600 is my lowest and im winning my raids at 2969

(200 troop capacity)

War Giant-Healer strategy:
- 13 giants
- 6 wb
- 1 healer
- 60 archers
- 20 goblins
- 5 wizards or 1 dragon
- 2 Heal & Rage Spell

Farming-BARCH(69 Barbs, 66 Archs, 3 wbs)
Pushing-9 Giants, 6 wbs, 10 Goblins, Rest BARCH Half Half)

Farming

BArch:
2 Rax queued to barbs, 2 Rax queued to arch, 6 WB; 2 rage, 1 heal

BAM:
2 parts barbs, 2 parts arch, 20-25 minions; 2 rage, 1 heal.

Trophy Pushing

Healer/wiz/arch:

3 healer/20-25 wiz/rest arch; 2 rage, 1 heal

GoWiPe:

Still figuring this one out. Have tried 1 golem, 15 or so wiz, 2-3 Pekka but with mixed results. I will try that mini guide that was just posted however.

Hogs:

Intending to start this strat soon when my upgrade to lvl 2 finishes. Unsure which composition yet.

I vary - My normal raid is barch (lvl5 - 1:3 barbs:Archers) in a combination of completely circling a base and massing on defences.

wars have required that I improve other skills too though so when theres a little extra loot i use gowipe, mass drag, balloon/drag, hog/wiz and balloonion just to keep my hand in.

it breaks up the monotony and so long as it pays for itself - its more fun than barch.

currently hanging around the top of gold2 and debating wandering higher for a while.

Th7, 180 troop space
12 giants, level 3
1 healer, level 1
8 wizards, level three
5 wallbreakers, level 3
35 archers, level 3
Rest barbs, level 3
two heal spells.

First take air defence with giants, then once wizards and motars are down, i drop rest of my troops and heal spells on wizard towers.

Thats a good strategy, i would suggest making it a priotiry to max space, it is so useful

i raid about 4-5 mill a day with this, i hang out in silver one right now. sometimes i vary. just trying now to get enough to upgrade research lab.

Farming: 40 archers, 6 giants, 8 wall breakers, rest goblins, and BK. Spells: 3 lightning
Trophy Pushing: 30 archers, 16 giants, 8 wall breakers, 5 wizards, 2 healers, 1 dragon, 3 minions, and BK. spells: 1 heal 2 rage

For trophy pushing I use 3 dragons lvl 2, 16 giants lvl 3, 5 archers lvl 3, 5 wizards lvl 2, 5 wall breakers, 2 heal spells and a rage spell.
