Hi there.

Please post your armies and how you use them below.
This is my army:

• 10 Giants
• 10 Wall Breakers
• 80 Archers
• 50 Goblins
• 3 Thor Summon (Lightning)

First step, deploy giants in pairs or triplets to distract for the WB and archers taking out buildings.

Step 2, by now your giants should be dead. Keep a close eye on them and when 1 giant dies, drop 1 or 2 more giants.

Step 3, keep deploying WB to penetrate to the center. Sprinkle in more archers, but keep at least 40 of them.

Step 4, you should be in the storage area. Drop goblins and archers in groups of ten. Keep a close eye on the goblins. When the wizard tower is about to fire on them, deploy another 10. This way you won't be splashed up too much and by the time the first 10 are dead, the new ten are already looting.

Use lightning to take out mortars or CC troops.

I use the archers to take out the buildings outside the perimeter where they can't be attacked by the defenses. Then a few barbs to clear out the remaining buildings on one side where I intend to break in. A few more barbs on another side to draw the attention of the mortars. Then launch an all out attack on the side I cleared, making sure I drop a couple of troops on the other side before they die so the mortars' attention will stay there. I used the spells on cc troops and hard to reach mortars.

edit: forgot to include the Burger King since he's currently sleeping for his level 6 upgrade. Use him as a meat shield or as a back up to get those last few percentages.

I don't use spells every battle, only if necessary. Same goes for the barbarian king.

What I do is break the walls,send in all giants,and at least 20 archers.
Now,send in another wall breaker to destroy the second layer so giants can destroy mortars.
Send in barbarians to help destroy the first layer,and more archers to assist the archers.
Well,basically what i do.I don't really think about it,but yeah.

General Procedure

1. Lure CC troops out using arch or barb or gob depending on situation.
2. Choose the spot your wish to attack in, lure the CC troops there, then release some barbs/arch to kill them
3. Sprinkle some barbs to test for small bombs, especially spring traps.
4. Sprinkle some archers behind barbs as supporting fire
5. Sprinkle some goblins to clear off nearby mines/collectors to prevent distractions later on
6. Next spread out 4 giants at your front lines, then summon wall breaker at intented point of entry
7. sprinkle more barb/arch/gob and 2 more giants once the first layer is broken
8. spawn more archers at places with more pockets, you don't want wall breakers to wander off to other areas
9. deploy another a few more pairs of wall breaker depending on bases
10. deploy the last 2 giant and rest of your barb/arch
11. when there is a straight line to resource, deploy your goblins. time of deployment varies from segmented to single core bases

Lure queen/king with archers, kill with barbs and cc, drop dragons, use minion for some free buildings, wall breakers to access the core so hero's get two stars. Hmmmmmm, i guess this is probably a farming thread, please ignore me ;)

Aim for bases with all loot in one compartment. blast a hole to it with a couple wbs, then rush with gobs behind barbs

Deploy around 2 giants to distract.
Place your wall breakers down which will break one, maybe 2 layers of walls.
Put rest of giants down through the gap.
WHILE giants make a pathway for the goblins and break through remaining walls, place your archers (and/or minions) as supporting fire, by first deploying half, one fourth, and finally one fourth of the troops.
The giants should have made a path right now straight to the resources (for the little green friends :P) and say hello to your 200k gold :)

NOTE: Be careful to whom you attack. The best bases for this have resources in one compartment, preferably not segmented.

Archers & Barbarians

I simply take out the Air Defence with all of my giants, using wall breakers if necessary, then I put my healer down. After that, I wait for splash defenses to be taken out, and deploy only a few of my goblins to help with resources (sometimes I use none). I only use my barbs/archers if I need extra firepower and also to lure out barb kings and cc troops.

I have 195 troop space so

14 giants
1 healer
4 wallbreakers
16 barbarians
24 goblin
55 archers

I rarely use everything so can usually attack every 15 minutes or so.

Lure out clan castle guys, kill with barbs and maybe archers. Deploy giants near air defense. Once down deploy healer. Use archers to pick off outer buildings and help with the odd archer tower/canon/mortar. Often don't have to bother with goblins or barbs or a good few archers.

Things will change at higher levels but this works fine now in TH7.

1. I target any lone defenses or defenses that can be easily flanked by using a giant as distraction then send out some archers
2. Use wall breakers to open a path to air defenses and attack with a bunch of giants and also send out archers so long as mortars are distracted or destroyed.
3. Once all air defenses are down I send in the balloons. As long as most of the giants survived the attack on the air defense they can continue to distract other defenses while balloons follow them to cause massive amounts of damage.
4. Once most defenses are dealt with I send in the goblins to steal all the good stuff

Also just wondering why nobody uses balloons at all. A small group will destroy defenses fast, even archer and wizard towers so long as they are distracted which isn't hard to do.

140 goblins/archers, hopefully equal of each but it gets weird sometimes with lots of archer donations.

Usually pretty easy to 2 star and clean resources in 1300 range, pretty fond of the composition.

GEMMED Th9 with 200space troops (my village has lvl 6 walls with level 1-3 defenses lol)

Strat: Deploy all three wallbreakers to break first wall then go for the weak air defense zone or take out air defense with all giants, send all minions to take out splash, archers right after , and optional troops /spells if loot and defense demands it. Currently farming 1200-1700

These armies sound pretty much the same. I assume everyone is farming lol.

Army composition:

• 6 giants
• 160 goblins

Strategy:

1. Destroy some walls
2. Distract defenses with Giants
3. Destroy some more walls
4. GOBLINS!

It's a really lazy way of farming but it works and it's cheap!

Why does everyone use so many giants? they take a while to train and i would rather have barbs instead of giants the mass giant attacks on my base always fail...

Note all numbers can divide by 4 barracks equally :rolleyes:, considering 1wb build time is approximately 4 archers' one. Applying mix tactics of barbar/archer, giant/archer, goblin rush...

I use this composition after try out almost of farming composition guys and come up with this. Not be best at a particular type of base, but work well almost of the time.

I just set one barracks with barbs, one with archers and the other with goblins, and when i need them, i have about 10wall breakers training with the forth barracks.

Current Army (200 Cap)

• 56 Barbs
• 60 Archers
• 60 Gobs
• 12 WB

Barbs for distractions, Archers cleans up everything, Gobs go for loot, WB to break wall

Overnight Army (200 Cap)

• 20 Balloons
• 50 Minions

Balloons for distractions and destroying defenses, Minions takes up everything.

I use:
9 Giants (lvl6)
45 Barbs (lvl6)
40 Gobs (lvl5)
68 Archers (lvl6)
11 wb (lvl5)
BK4 if base is tough/ to finish up
AQ2 if base is tough/ to finish up
Rage lvl5 - 3 (rarely used)
Lightning lvl5 - 1 (rarely used)

I use castle archers to defend only.

Many times, I save 20+ gobs or acrhers.

find a base with a lot of gold/elixir if mines are full drop some barbarians on them then archers
want to break into middle?avoid pocket bases,first clean the side you attack from with archers then drop 5 barbarians to damage a wall then drop the rest of the barbarians with some archers

For me my army is

8 Gaints
6 Wallbreakers
48 Barbarian
60 Archer
40 Goblin

Deploy archers and barbarians to free up the clan castle , and
Collect the un protected building with archers ( Check corners)
Once all building are cleared at a side and archers have way to the inner defences , deploy 10-15 barb to take fire and then deploy wbs 2 by 2 once first layer is opened Deploy 2-4 gaints according to the defences levels and density, then open the second layer and deploy another 2-4 Gaints for the centralized defences and once the mortars are shooting the gaints , clear nearby collectors and deploy goblins to the treasure , if there are more than 2 wizard tower at a storage or a high lvl ones.

One advantage of Giants is that they only target the defense, while barbs would attack anything (which may or may not produce the desired result). So it all depends on how you use them.

I was surprised to see so many giants used by farmers as well. I've got 200 unit army.

4 Giants
84 Archers
40 Barbs
40 Goblins
8 WBs

Clear out anything around wall near entry point with archers spread around. Send giants toward wall. Send couple WBs. Send 15-20 barbs. Wait a few seconds then send about 20 archers. Deploy WBs to open up path to storages. Then follow up with the rest of Barbs. If needed throw in more archers. Release the goblins to clean house.

i have 10 giants available, but i rarely use more than 4 giants in any given battle.

to a lesser extent, the same is true with wbs (although i've been using more of them post patch).

i really only use barbs as meat shields for single target defenses and for cluttering up clan castle defenses while i drop archers to take them out.

Troops: 100 goblins, 35 archers, 5 giants and 5 wallbreakers.

Total Camp Capacity: 170
Total Elixir Spent: 33,000
Total Training Time: avg. 13 minutes (in which I check up on the forums)

Average 150k g/100k e per match.

Best strategy on TH 7 trophies around 1200-1300

All BARBS

Cheap, fast destroy everything. 15 minute train time, 15k elixir and you will raid like 50k per attack. 140 an hour (also great for trophy hunt).

30 wall breakers, 100 barbs, 4 giants, and 40 gobs. 4 lightning spells or 3 lightning 1 rage.

For a TH9 farmer, I use:

12 Giants
12 WB's
40 Barbs
48 Goblins
48 Archers.

This costs me about ~100k in elixir per attack

Whatever spells I have on me, usually 2 lightning for DE stealing xD

Wipe out their air defense(s), drop my giants and healer and let them go to town. Slowly drop goblins/barbarians/archers behind the path my giants make, and if needed use the barbs/arch to take down another air defense. The barbs/lightning can also be used against clan troops.

Farming Steps-
1)First i look for a stuffed base or a base with wall level lower than 5 , if it has a well protected AD which is pretty rare for a th5 or 6 i skip it
2) Drop a barb to check if CC has troops or not, if so use the barb to lure them out and kill them
3) Send 1 giants for distraction and send 2 wb to open up path for my all giants to strike d AD and drop my healer asa the AD is destroyed
3)Drop some archers to destroy d unprotected buildings like spell factory , army camps etc
4) Deploy some archers to help those giants to kill d def buildings on d sides
5) As soon as all d def buildings are destroyed deploy Rest of d archer for mass destruction

N:B - I rarely use spells for farming
