Hey guys,
I am getting town hall 9 in a few days and i was thinking to use the ringus base. I was thinking of using it to farm, and then switch to trophy base for clan wars? Does it work well? And i would also want to know at what range should i farm when i get town hall 9? I am currently farming at around 1400-1500 at th8.

I use Farming Ringus (with DE protection) with a few modifications.
And I normally get TH sniped. I've only been seriously attacked a few times and have only been 1 starred at most.
As far as trophy Ringus, I've never been attacked when using it.. So sorry can't give you much info on that
I'd reccommend Ringus I you have high level teslas and high level xbows. This meaning id wait until you were settled into Town hall 9 to use it. I have been using it with level 6 teslas and level 3 xbows and it works amazingly. Also make sure you upgrade your giant bombs to level 3 so they can take out hogs. Anyway its a great base and I'd highly reccommend it as long as all your defenses are well upgraded.
My defenses are maxed for town hall 8. Should i start using it when i get both my xbows?

Been very happy with farming Ringus de protected, quick switch to trophy for CW. Solid base. Farming G1-C3 range gives steady DE and gold for upgrades. Elixer never a problem.

I swapped my DE storage with the CC and also put the (2)GB with (2)bombs together. I've had my DE storage raided a few times so I moved it to the center and they haven't been able to touch it since. I moved around a few walls to do it.Quote:

Hi Anir! I arrived to th9 two weeks ago. As soon as my 2 xbows (i bought them when my th finished) went operative i started using ringus. In three days of tries, i was raided seriously by four or five people. They didn't use a completely defense lead army (barch, few giants and archers or wizards, etc) and they got to my core easily, stealing 4 to 6 storages and DE. I feel that Ringus is a compromise: it is very good against hogs but it exposes storages. Disappointed by ringus' performances i switched to cloud whisky's base. In five days i had only th snipes.
I suggest you to try rings if you are farming in medium-high leagues (crystalIII-masterIII). In my opinion, at 1600 trophies, there aren't so many hogs and a normal farming base will perform better.
P.S.
Only noob hoggers deploy piggies in a single pack…smart people have figured out how to beat the ring bases
