Small things that cause big change(Short guide)

Productions:
Produce things that take less time when you are free.
Don't queue the production line too much when you are online. You might need something for your boat or so.
Fill the production queues to the max and schedule things that take more time during sleep/work.

Fishing:
Use deep water areas and areas that need more time to fish again on that area for nests/traps
Use 2-6 areas for lobster traps.
Use 1-4 areas for nets.
Use shallow water fishing areas and swampy areas for lure fishing.
Don't rush to upgrade lobster pool if you lack coins and have something to unlock in the next level.

Pets:
Buy as much as possible.

Daily dirt:
Check it every 1-2 mins. First go through all the pages to see if there are expansions. Then visit other farms which have your things

Following:
Follow farms that sell things cheap and frequently.

This is NOT RIGHT ADVICE -- You can try and open as many mystery boxes as you can find on your farm and on the farms of your friends/folks in the newspaper. When you open one, go back you your farm, tap on your mystery box and if it is locked, tap OUTSIDE of the box to preserve it, then go to a neighbors farm. There will be a box on that farm for you, and on and on until you find an open one. Then repeat.

PLEASE do not make guides until you are absolutely 100% certain of the accuracy of your information!!!!

I must agree that the information given in the OP about mystery chests is incorrect. I average 6 open chests per hour by following the advice given by Cricks, and the odds for success increase with more attempts at opening.

In one marathon weekend playing session I accumulated about 20 vouchers of different color (gold included), about $7500 in coin, 30 diamonds, and numerous tools and expansion items. It's definitely worth checking every chest!

At level 5, you only need 18 harvests. That number changes with level. At level 82 where I am now, the number is 77. Yes, I count.

Same here. I get an item for every 3 pets I wake. 2 each for the 6 dogs, cats and horses I have. The donkeys and rabbits are different. It is not every 3rd or 4th for them, at least not for me, not sure how it works exactly.

I edited the mystery box thing and removed the wheating thing.

No matter, I get a open box only after 3-4 hours.
I had tried the cricks trick but doesn't work for me.

We'll, I've been playing this game since it started and your method has never and does not work for me or thousands of other players so the original guide is slightly more accurate. OP, maybe a disclaimer after your point that the above method allegedly works for some people.

Lol, did you read PerkyCox's post and Crick's post at all?

Quite obviously you do not only "find 2 or so open boxes when you first start the game in the morning after sleep."

Because you find them throughout the day??

Their point was that tapping outside of the pop up box (when it doesn't open) ensures that on the next farm you visit, you can still find another box.

Also, you can in fact find another box after you open one, as long as you return to your farm for a few minutes.

How are any of these reflected in your edit?

Moreover, what additional value does this provide to the newbies when there is already an entire section of this forum dedicated to them? It's called "New to Hay Day?"
