Yeah, lots of wallbreakers and you need to clear out any possible buildings that the pekkas could possibly go to outside the base. Nothing is over kill, you want to make sure almost all buildings on the side you're deploying on are destroyed, and that there's a path into the base waiting for the PEKKA to go into. And yes, paired with the right troops, and at a high enough level, they are definitely some of the best troops in the game (just a little outclassed by the newer troops)
