If a gemmed multi account can give you the same privilages of being in a good clan in terms of donations, then the "clan" concept of this game is seriously undermined.

How many clan members does it take to give you a maxed level 4 dragon within 5 seconds of requesting, every single time you request? It takes only one multi account to achieve that.

A person with two maxed accounts will have the most optimum attacking and defending CC every single time he goes on defense or offense. Amplify this by a large enough factor and you can expect nothing else in matchmaking.

If it is donated by clan members, like how it was designed to be, then fair play to them. However, If it is a result of having multiple accounts, when the ToS clearly states that it is not allowed, i do feel it's an exploit.

Airplane mode raiding
Multiple accounts/sharing accounts

I listed these in the order they cause the most disruption to fair play in my mind.
Anyone else have any activities that are against the spirit of the game that they would like an official response on?

The reddit q&a addresses some of your other concerns.

It has been, and will continue to be, an ongoing effort to discover and address the ways in which certain players can exploit gameplay and platform mechanics to gain an unfair advantage over other players. We've already put out several changes to the game such as adding (and tightening) the personal break restriction, tweaking revenge to have equal precedence as normal matchmaking, and adding several other changes under the hood to make things like assisted-touch and offline attacking more difficult. Our main approach has been, and will continue to be, to fix and improve what features of the game people are routinely abusing to gain unfair advantage. Rather than constantly policing the leaderboards and using banhammers to try to enforce fair play (which would be a huge distraction for the team to do at the level of consistency, accuracy and fairness we would expect), we'd rather just do our best to remove the options for exploitation in the first place. We realize that there will always be players who come up with new tricks and ways to game the system, and that is a frustration we share along with the vast majority of players who Clash fairly. We feel very strongly that high-level gameplay should be as fair as possible and, to be perfectly honest, this isn't our favorite area to spend our limited focus on. Having such a small development team, we'd much rather be spending the time working on new features, troops, clan functionality and other things. When some new exploitative behavior does come up, though, we do our best to fix it as quickly as we can.

Not arguing against allowing multiple accounts, but how about allowing multiple people using a single account?
There are advantages to be gained by multiple users per account, no?

This is why it would be very helpful to hear from SC not only about what they are enforcing vs not enforcing but what is being done to rid this game of the the unfair advantages users are gaining through the exploits listed above.

Edit: Thanks for your reply coathanger! So to me, the official response from SC seems to be that we will try our best to make this game fair, but it isn't our highest priority. Those who are skirting the rules to gain an advantage over others will not be punished unless they turn themselves in, admit guilt, and demand punishment. LOL

My opinions about these four both people greatly. I agree with implementing number 1. Number 2.) assistive touch is an phone program, leave that alone. Number 3.) some claim chèating, some claim non-chèating, I claim Switzerland. Number 4.) I say let them have their accounts, they want to pay for them, why not? Brings new updates for us! ;)

Even the sharing accounts aspect, I do not see how this would be an issue? They still have to have to take break right on the six hour mark.

I think some people need to be reminded of what the mods have already said about this topic, i think its clear where they Stand on this.

You have to bear in mind though SC is a REALLY friendly and fair company they are not there to catch people up on technicalities. They certainly don't have the man power to go out and hunt down people having multiple accounts, it's not good business besides anything else. The TOS are the TOS but it is up to them to enforce them if they feel it is appropriate - this isn't criminal law it's a private agreement we all make.

Same with YT - we use their game footage technically they own IPR and if they wanted they could close us all down, they never would as long as we support the community with positive helpful content and don't do anything to harm their business - offering ways to scam people out of their accounts etc would be harmful and i'm sure they do stuff to deal with it.

Minecraft showed the gaming world how to engage with you tubers and i'm glad SC followed suit.

I know SC is actively looking for ways to engage better with the community, Marika is working away this weekend finding ideas to bring back to help us all - personally i'd love to go to a Clashfest for example :)

Anyway i'm going off topic - the TOS are SC's property and it's up to them what they do with them.

I don't know a whole lot about this issue, but my guess is this would be incredibly hard to enforce and is broken by tons of people (hence the speed limit analogy). It doesn't mean you should ignore it, but SC does have the right to do something about it if they ever wanted to.

Assuming that no h@cks are involved, yes 6 hr log off. However, multiple players accessing one account will result in humanly impossible playing frequency.

Imagine an account log in that goes like this: 6 hours-10 mins break-6hours-10 mins break-6 hours-10 mins break.... over a course of 3 months. When does this one person sleep?

How do you expect a normal human to compete against such bot-like behaviour?

Wow...I have never seen so many mod posts or senior members in one thread. Most of those commenting are above member ranking. So all opinions are unbiased and well-thought out. But in my opinion, SC should change the ToS to what they need to enforce. Remove those they don't intend to enforce. Etc.

You don't see how it would be much faster to farm a maxed base with multiple users?
Have you never seriously trophy hunted? Multiple users would allow many more attacks per day. Thats the only way to advance up top, can't do it on defense.

Valid argument sandy. However, called me laid back or maybe it is the California blood in me? I do not ever tend to beat them, not even compete with them. How ever, there is people I know in the top 10 including bosshogg whom is number one that does not ♥♥♥♥♥ and loses defenses every time he logs off. The success he has is from a lot of heavy raiding, granted we all do not have gems to gem every attack, in all honesty though, without the capability of having those funds, I see it to be very difficult to even compete.
