elixer problem for th9

hi guys and gals, I'm th 9 and I have to say, it's IMPOSSIBLE to gain elixer... It costs 100k (troops) + 40-60k (spells) elixer to make my army, so let's say an average of 150 000 elixer. That's a lot.

You can say: "just attack ppl with enough elixer..."
Yes, but I also need gold of course!

Then you can say: "only raid ppl with enough gold AND elixer."
Well, if it was easy, alrighty! But it doesn't only take a lot of time, it also costs a lot of gold to actually find a base with over 200k loot, each. That's because nowadays, there are only storage bases to attack (hoh, SC pls bring inactives back, they were a delight). The problem with storage bases is that there's a small change finding someone who has enough gold AND elixer in his storages.... A lot of times somebody has a good amount of elixer avaible, but then the gold sucks. So you actually have to choose what resource you want to farm (that isn't a solution!).

However, my problem is that I can't gain elixer, I only make a little over 300k a day. It will be better when SC fix the loot, but can anyone give me some tips with what I should (not) do?

Or maybe a different attack strategy (I use balloonion)... thanks in advance!!

How many trophies do you have?

I get 300K+ Elixir around 1450-1550 all the time.

I think u should stop full raiding . U should use BARCH in gold 1 or gold 11 u get collector loot there a lot . Even tho it would be less u would atleast get the loot . So i would recommend barch with no spells would be good for your farming and as far as gold concerns u could get lots of it using this strategy . Plan your upgrades well and u would be even able to get a 50% on a base . Thats all i can offer . Thanks ..

Yeah barch is good. Bam is better for elixir farming because it's cheaper, but it's less powerful.

What army do you use that takes over 100K elixir...

24 balloons, 20 barbarians, 35 minions and 1 lightning and 2 heal spells

I used 12 giants, 8 breakers, 54 barbarians and 90 archers. This cost around 90 k elixir. I gain tons of elixir with this at Gold 2 (storages).

Elixir is the most worthless recource, plenty of people have no use for it and so dont bother defending it. It shouldn't be hard for you to get elixir.

I'm TH9 and I can't even find 300k in 1800-2k, I can't even find 200k raids anymore since CW update.

I'm with the OP, I cannot gain elixir since the update. It's like some sick joke. I had a blast with this game until the update, now I actually lose elixir everyday. What's ironic is I can finally make level 6 troops and I can't get enough elixir to do the upgrades.

Loot is broken, I don't care what people say. I dropped down to 1500, no loot, went up to 1700 for a few days, no loot, now I'm up to 1900 and still no loot. How can people say move up and down and find the loot when I've gone through 500 trophy range and can't find loot?

It's not like there's some special trick, I'm nexting for 15 minutes each time to find any loot in storages and it's just not there. I cannot do this anymore SC, I'm out.

There's no more collector raiding, I literally cannot find collectors anymore. The most I ever see in collectors is maybe 30-50k. I went from 1500-2k and I never see collector raids.

Which isn't even a big deal for me because I always went for storages myself, since I like giant+healer combo, but even storages are empty now. Clan Wars update has killed loot for me, I just can't find it. I would do anything to find it, I'd drop down to 200 if that's where the loot was.

I guess i can understand how someone who doesn't play very much may have an elixir problem, but then they'll certainly have a huge gold problem as well. BAM costs around 30k elixir (and about 300de), but there's plenty of de in gold II and I to still make de gains while farming gold/elixir. Could just do that instead of crying or quitting.

Don't use spells to farm.

I made roughly 2.6 million gold yesterday in about 3-4 hours of raiding. Also change you army to barbs, archers, giants, WB's and some goblins.

Then how can we break into bases? Show me a way to break into max lvl 9/10 bases with lvl 5 troops and no spells.

Honestly, please show me, I want to know so that I can do it. Because right now I can't gain elixir it's just not possible since the CW update.

Before that I got 4-5 million a day, my storages were maxed most of the time.

You call attacking maxed bases farming? :P I call farming raiding collectors and attack TH8s and TH9s with gold walls farming. :P and what range are you at anyway?

I'm a TH9. I have maxed defense, except AD and working on walls.

Sitting on 7 million elixir and spending gold on walls and DE on Heroes. I'm donating 1000 troops a season. I'm not even looking at the elixir count when I raid.

Quite happily farming at 1900-2200 for 250/250/1k a time, occasionally I'll get 400/400/2.5k. Usually 5 min of nexts

Try Crystal III, Crystal II if you like expensive armies and more challenge (and more loot)

There's lots of elixir out there.

So your using a trophy push army expecting to farm...

That's your problem

With barch your making a full army in 18 mins
Spending less than 40k elixir

If you don't make profit with a 40k army you're doing something wrong

Woah....i make at least 1 million elixer per day.....I think u have a problem

Your problem is the army you're using. If it costs over 100k, that's your biggest problem when trying to regain what you spent on the army, plus extra. Try using Barch.

Im a th9 and i have had full elixer storages for a couple months now...

What the. I've been full on elixer since TH1. Never went more than a day without full elixer storages even after an upgrade worth 8 mill elixer

Agreed, since the update elixer is tight but no doubt this was done purposly. I've been at TH9 for about a month now and glad I maxed my TH 8 and had full storages when I upgraded but after I used up most of my elixer I was struggling but there is answer to the prob as I'm doing good now and just started lvl 6 archers and have lvl 6 giants.

Use BAM, refrain from using spells and be patient looking for good bases with full elixer mines and easy to pick off storages. Gold and Dark elixer was never a prob for me so us those minions and becaus this army comp was cheap and fast the elixer started flowing in. I raided around the silver 3 to gold 3 level for about 3hrs a day maybe less. After awhile u can return to whatever army comp u used and just raid bases with a lot of resources and u will be fine. I'm tg the leader of babylon clan (black and white rotating triangle shield). Good look OP.

Im a recent th9 (the time it takes to research giants and archers), and have never found this problem. I raid for gold and DE, and without breaking a sweat have done my giants, archers, barbs (started today), DE drills (both to 4), spell factory, laboratory and gold storage. And I currently have 3m sitting.

Loot is there. Go find it.

I agree the loot is bad, but I haven't had an elixer issue. You are using the wrong army to farm, and that is exactly what your issue is. Change it up to BARCH or BAM, and go for easy collectors and easy storages. I am at 16-1800 trophies and just farm for gold, the elixer comes with. Haven't used a spell in the last 25 or so raids. Finishing max giants and starting max archers in 24 hrs.

Army composition:
80/80 arch barb
5 WB
20 minions (and I end up using them maybe once every 3 raids).

Switch your army up and you'll be fine. You will still complain about gold, but your goo problem will be fixed...

i stay around 1600 and use bam and just hit 200k+ of each collector bases and can make a good 4-5m gold a day while only playing for a few hours a day

Barch. Millions a day.

no offense, but ballonions for elixir farming ? That's about the last stragegy I would use for that, as it's very expensive with those spells.

I just use BAGwall with some giants in Gold III League and was able to start my archer upgrade in the lab yesterday, right after finishing my giants and balloons.

oh an btw, I only farm ONE ressource at a time and never compromise.
If I want to start an elixir upgrade, I farm until I have that elixir and don't care the slightest about gold or dark elixir. However good the offerings are.

My 11yo is like you. He says he needs elixir and then gets disctracted with bases that have gold but no elixir or dark elixir and no elixir or offer easy trophies.
In the end he doesn't get anywhere .g.

FOCUS and don't get distratced and you will have enough elixir fast.

That's interesting. I'm th9, never go for elixer & my storages stay maxed out. I can't find anything to spend it on. I try to stay round 1700.
