Sub-200 Farming

sub-200 is just hectic... u raid in every battle u find...u get 200+ trophies in an hour on defense...u accidentally get a star, ur back up like 12 trophies...12 more raids to come back down... not having a hero slows down ur progress a TON... its just only good if u have the time, like THE TIME

So, because it was confirmed that sub200 farming still works, I went down there. I'm currently at 187 trophies.
All I'm getting paired up with are townhall levels 6, 7, 8, 9 and 10.

I don't mean to be rude to the people who just said that it still works, but I don't think you guys know what
sub200 farming is. Or rather: What it used to be.

Sub200 farming is an area where you don't get loot reduction, and so you can raid town hall levels 2, 3, and maybe 4
for small loots like 20k-40k. Because you only spend about 10 goblins on those raids, you can do one after the other
which, after a few hours, adds up nicely.

I am NOT getting paired up with sub200 farms. I'm only getting paired up with well defended villages, up to townhall
level 10. One after the other after the other. That's NOT sub200 farming. I can find those villages at my own level.

Sub200 farming is dead. They put a fix in place to prevent what I described above.

I'm pretty sure many people will not believe me and so I will record my attempts and post that here soon to prove
that sub200 farming is dead and buried. Feel free to do the same to prove me wrong.

-edit- While I was writing this 5 people dropped a unit apparently to drop trophies. This indicates that
there are still people actively sub200 farming. In that case I suspect that certain heavy sub200 farmers
get a debuff from Supercell. I can't explain it otherwise. How else can I only be paired up with heavy
defended villages while others can still farm sub200?

I'm pretty sure it still works in the exact way you described above, because I just farmed over 70 level 7 walls in a week.

Edit: I hope you know the loot starts to get good at around 140ish not 198.

That's not true. Villages used to be what you needed as soon as you dropped below 200. Small and easily lootable.
But, to humor you I will drop to about 140-ish tomorrow and post the results. I'm pretty sure they will be the same.

I'm getting the feeling that some accounts have been 'punished' by Supercell by blocking sub200 farming,
while others haven't.

I did it at town hall 8 on my mains a few months ago and it was great but i recently went down on my mini and found nothing so sub 200 is dead supercell did something

Sub 200 still works for TH7, not so much for TH8 any more. I have spent the last few months in sub 200 as TH8 and noticed this change after clan wars update. I went through sub 200 range (200 to 0 trophies) just a moment ago for a quick test with my TH7 and loot was good enough to justify dropping to sub 200. One strange thing I did notice: all bases I went through were TH5's. Not a single TH6 or TH7... Strange... Something has definitely changed.

I was sub 200 farming for the past 2 days and i got almost 50 level 7 walls (i am th7) let me get some screenshots of my attack log.

only thing i noticed was that i didnt find alot of people twice like alot of people said i would. I found 5 different people twice and i never shielded anyone. i was pretty much picking off storages with not too much collector loot. i was mostly finding th 4-6 with easy storages and no walls with the occasional th7-9 who were farming for walls most likely cause they had full elixer storages. since i never farmed sub 200 before i cant really tell if it is worse but it is definitely not dead.

It's quite simple. Sub200 farmers will not be paired up anymore with targets, but only with other sub200 farmers.
At least, that's the case for me. I went down to 120 trophies today and literally every village I came across
was heavily defended, with no exception. All TH6 and up, mostly TH 8, 9 and 10.

Anyone saying they still got good loot down there is probably attacking the occasional unguarded storage of a TH5 or 6 village. That's not what sub200 farming is, or used to be.
