People....listen! I said its understandable for those who have other clans the hop to and from! So, if you add some sort of counter that shows the jump between clans will show others how many clans they have changed to. If in fact they are hopping from their friends clans then they shouldn't care to much right?Quote:

Whats it matter how many threads their are? If you read the beginning of my message I don't care to keep repeating a copied idea that needs to be addressed! You know what I have read so many peoples reasoning why this Handle is such a bad idea...ect! What really gets me is the ones who have the problems usually are the problem! If in fact you have a problem with having people see how many clans you hopped from, then YOU..."HOPPER" should be the one to make the change...not the clan itself! Everyone's argument is basically ohh its a bad idea because people have friends in other clans! Well, if that's is the actual case then the clan who is accepting the new request should have no problems with it, or care what the hopping count is...right? I didn't say I give Dragons off the bat either....and I agree that Barbs, and Gobs are no big lose! This is not what I really care about! What I care about is damn hoppers coming in, and leaving! Hoppers serves no true purpose in this game!
Although donating gobs or barbs to a newly joined member is an easy way to deal with wasting troops on hoppers, it may also potentially give a good new member that being in this clan meant getting barbs and gobs in their clan castle. If I were that person, I doubt that I'd hang around.Quote:

Disagreeing with your idea does not make us hoppers. All we are saying is that you equate a high clan changing count with hopping and that isn't always the case. You are putting a negative spin on something that isn't always true and it would result in people being unable to join clans because people will prejudge them. Also, once a hopper doesn't mean always a hopper. If someone who has visited many clans whether it be because they want cheap easy troops, or because they simply find it hard to find a clan that suits them (for whatever reason), tries to join your clan, what's to say that they may decide that your clan is the place to be and then become a valuable contributing member. However, with your idea, they'd never even get a foot in the door.
Its funny what little things people lay awake at night about.
Our clan hovers at about 47-full, sometimes on a recruit drive well get a hopper or two, so what? Are archers that big of a loss? But we just implement a simple donate before requesing insta-boot. Never had much of a problem with hoppers.
I think it's more of a developing clan issue. I agree. Our clan sits at 47 members and we really don't find it a big problem. However, when we first started the clan, until we got about 35+ members! we found that a lot of hoppers came in and out! especially when our clan status was "anyone can join". Making it "invite only" generally reduces the number of ppl joining then leaving.Quote:

Everytime they get some clannies, some leave because they are hoppers and some others, non hoppers, will follow the trend because the clan seems weak.
Hence the clan population remains at barely 10.

Sorry, but I don't remember Supercell or anyone really promise that starting and creating a healthy clan was going to be easy. If all it takes is a whole heap of hoppers to make a clan dissolve, then that clan wasn't meant to be. Our clan has had to deal with a lots worse things. The problem of hoppers doesn't even come close.Quote:

That the counter would be reset after the league competition count down is over! So, for you hoppers afraid that a mere high number next to your name will haunt you....worry not! With it resetting....you can hop on, and on! Just not as often and frequently as you would if your hopping were not tracked some sort of way!
We were not stuck on the unfairness of the number and the negative effect it would have on a hopper. If you read our responses, we stated that there are more than one reason why a person trying to join your clan may have previously visited a large number of clans. Yet you seem to want to label them all as Hoppers. That's not fair. We also stated that in the grand scheme of problems faced by clans, hoppers are a small hitch. My reaction to this issue is compounded by the fact that you seem prepared to label us as hoppers just because we don't agree with your idea. What we don't want is a statistic which causes people to be prejudged by clans before they've had the chance to prove themselves. And I don't think Supercell does either.Quote:
