I stumbled into the list of the top event contributors just now. So the top contributors send off thousands of boats? :eek:
How do they do it... You have to pay five diamonds to call in a boat early, right? Do they really invest this many diamonds? Does the game give this many diamonds at some stage or do they buy them for hard currency?
Sorry, if this is a stupid question but my jaw dropped seeing this figures.
They buy diamonds, nothing else :)
I've wondered about that as well. The numbers boggle my mind!
And they probably use Tom to fill many of the harder orders.
I don't understand the motivation - why would you want to do so many?

The top contributor said that spending ~ $1,000 on such an event is nothing unusual. Calling boats in early, perma-Tom, speeding up items all the time etc.
So we should all appreciate their efforts in pulling the weight of everyone else, so that we can reach the global goal :)
Their boats are only a tiny fraction tho :D Take the top 10 at this very moment...or the top 20. They have contributed like 20,000 boats roughly. That is ~ 0.1% of the current count. Everyone is important, be it 2,000 or 2 boats they fill :)

You don't need to complete all the personal goals to get the global prize. You just have to complete enough to unlock the global tab - before the global goal is reached.

You can find them on the ranking board for current events (if you've contributed enough to access it), since they are usually the same players for each event you can find them in the top contributors section of the past event section. You can also sometimes find them at the top of the boat leader boards. You just have to make sure you're on when they are turbo boating. It is crazy how quickly they get through boats.Quote:

Edited to Add: Well, I just did this and...wow. One boat after another after another after another. Sugar crates requiring 11 each, filled as soon as they are flagged. Butter, honey, cheese, cream...didn't matter how many...everything filled in less then 3 seconds and off the boat went. Just wow...
who could ever dream of competing with that?!
