Better defense?

In your experiences which is a better defemse on the forums. The tempest th8 or pingfao's th8 defense?

Tempest. Pingfao is really outdated and can be easily 3 starred with giants

Tempest rocks! I used it at the end of TH8 and into TH9 while I upgraded all my defenses to TH9 level.
I've never used Ping's base. It was old 6 months ago. I like newer designs as they're not as widely used.
I was only in Gold II at the beginning of TH9 but I never got 2 starred and I was fresh meat at that point. Great base. Good luck, see you at TH9.

If you have gold, or other resources in demand, any TH9 with any semblance of an army will 3-star you. Absolutely, 100% of the time, regardless of any customized base.

Just the way it goes at TH8.

Set your TH outside, pray for easy shields, and farm your brains out to get to TH9...and the extra defense, AQ, and huge upgrades it provides.

All the talk about TH8 bases that occurs on this site daily is frankly a waste of time, more effort should be put into faster farming to be honest, which is a much more efficient way to beat the game.

Perhaps you would care to explain yourself? Last time I checked, funneling still works decently against giants. Not to mention others pointers about Pingfao's TH 8 Tesla Theme Park like triangulated mortars, wizard towers and ADs have become the core foundation of most bases now.

This is not true at all?

My bases hold up well against max TH 10s with max troops and all...

You can easily defend against those types of people if you just know their methods.

Complete nonsense. I was never, ever 3 starred as a th8 by any TH9. I had some close calls with hog armies but once I changed to Tempest I was never more than 60% by any TH9. And they never got all my resources. Ever. Maybe your th8 sucked and you were used to being raped by th9s.... should have given Tempest a try.
